Wiseguy, Golden Globe Winner Ken Wahl Interview
Konservative Ken talks Kool vs. Kool-Aid
One of my favorite movies of all-time is the Philip Kaufman movie, The Wanderers. The star of the movie was Ken Wahl, a complete unknown. As his career developed Wahl didn’t offer very much to the public about his private life, and he never discussed politics, until recently.
It’s always a pleasure to hear from a conservative Hollywood performer, particularly when you’re a fan of the work.
This was a fun interview. I think everyone will enjoy it.
Presented here is about 20 minutes of a much, much longer interview. We’ll have more of it later in the week.

I’ve never seen him before, but I liked the interview. He sounds like a down-to-earth guy. It doesn’t hurt that he IS handsome. You should have done a Skype interview so we could see him!!

Enjoyed these very much…it didn’t seem like 20 minutes.
The dude is very insightful…I agree about the ‘generational’ thing. Actually, I agree with pretty well everything he said.
Looking forward to the rest of the interview.
And BFH, FWIW, I think you’re a good interviewer…just ask an intriguing question and get the hell out of the way.

Agree that The Wanderers is one of the very best movies ever made. If you haven’t seen it, do so. Some great lines and quotes that will remain with you, along with some great symbolism-I’ve rewatched it many times over the years.

Great sound track. I read the book a long time ago when I was laid up from a motorcycle wreck.

Great interview, Fur. Let’s have more. I agree with Norman: you are a good interviewer. Sean Hannity could learn from thee.

(Sigh) Truly one of the most beautiful men I have ever seen. What a pleasure to have learned that he is smart, articulate, loves animals AND is conservative. I remember him on “Wiseguy”. That was must-see TV for me.
Thanks Fur! This was an awesome interview!!

God I would never ever miss “Wiseguy”. Go get my fritos, shwepps ginger ale and park my butt. I had the biggest crush on Ken and always thought he was a great guy, but now I really appreciate how smart, and insightful he is. Helps too that we totally agree on the mentioned topics!!
Hoping to see him again on anything.

Phone cut me off!! I was surprised to hear that he is conservative I guess because he’s so involved in helping animals and the 2 don’t go together maybe with him it does but generally I don’t think it does. I am so far from conservative but I’m extremely conservative when it comes to animal abuse I think that people who abuse animals should not only be put in jail for life but some of them put to death, so you know. It depends on the circumstance in what you’re talking about but if I was forced put myself in a box I’m definitely a democrat. I don’t know who Ken wahl from TV that’s because I’m old haha ! I like that he speaks for the troops some of them are just babies 18, 19 years old and and some of them come back maimed some die horrible. Interesting interview thanks for posting.

I have always been a fan of Ken Wahl — and, yes, Wiseguy was a “must watch” every week in our house.
Here are some major points I garnered from this awesome interview:
“I speak for that little voice inside her that has no vote.
Generational vote. They would rather live at home with their parents and not have a job.
Romney can deal with people on the other side of the aisle — but he’s not cool.
Perception is more important than reality.
Gonna vote for Obama ‘cause he’s cool.
Group think.
The students of the 60s and 70s are now the teachers and professors.
You are now ashamed of being successful.”
And that’s just what I caught on a first pass.
Great interview, BFH!!!!!
