@ daPenguin- If you KNOW how the game of football is played, you don’t NEED the volume up on the boobtube. I discovered this back when Howard Cosell became tiresome twenty something years ago. And nowadays the chiron has all the scoreboard info you need at any given moment.

You can play your stereo, your Rush podcast or even Keith Olbermann on the alternate channel’s sound.

Many…. no, all of my liberal friends are big Stewart fans. They pretty much base what they know about US politics on what he discusses on his show. Thanks largely to him, most of my liberal friends believe that Sarah Palin said that dinosaurs walked with men 4,000 years ago, that Gitmo is worse than Dachau, and that Republicans are fascists (without bothering to actually look the definition up).

You might ask me, “so why are they still your friends?”. Well, I’m tolerant and open-minded; especially with those less blessed with clear thinking than I.

My main concern is how Stewart’s about-face will translate to my friends’ opinions… and should I confront them about their bandwagon-y views when they tear down their Obama shrines in their offices (I kid you not)?

First problem with the influential left is that they desire to much to be hip and cool that when someone says something funny or cute that becomes popular, they fall in line with the mantra going so far as to print tee shirts stating such.

About half he left fell ass over tea kettle in love with Palin for her first 24 hours on the scene. The subsequent 24 hours brought the idea that it was popular to bash her and her family.

The weak minded will always be easily swayed. Upon Obama’s election, I predicted that it was only a matter of time, before the media turned on
him. Why? Because he has a big bag of poo for policy. Once it begins again to be popular to slam the president, they’ll all be playing that game.

Stewart is only the beginning. He has such an impressionable audience that it’s only a matter of time. They cannot help themselves (there’s a joke here somewhere).

Again…just plain pitiful!

And of course, Nazism is linked to the right wing, but it certainly had left wing elements to it

Moreover, most American Jews have no understanding in their gut what it must have been like to be “dhimmitized” by Muslims, because their ancestors are European Jews. And Jews reacted to their oppressors by becoming intellectualized. And that’s the problem; the entire intellectual class has become infantile and degenerate.

I’m German Irish, so one group of ancestors came to America because of the potato famine It wasn’t until I was thirty that I learned that the British government greatly exacerbated the effects of the famine by refusing to ship grain to their Irish subjects. How many people in my own ancestral clan died because of this? I don’t know; this is the first time in my life I’ve even considered the question. What good does it do to obsess on this question?

2 of my kids are big Stewart and Colbert watchers and I frequently have to point out when they’re spouting nonsense. So much so that my kids anticipate me and I get “Yea dad, we know he’s completely wrong…but he’s funny!” But I do own up when he’s occasionally right too. And he IS funny. Wish he’d see the light a bit more often.

Where’s your elitism now?
After “serving” more than 30 years in office as the most virulent anti-Second Amendment activist in the state, North Carolina state senator R.C. Soles . . .

(…wait for it…)

…shot an intruder and potentially stopped a crime!

Clearly, guns cause crime. Why else would a “keep-the-streets-safe” gun control nut like Soles keep a gun around the house?

Now, the story could get juicier as time goes on. The two men who tried to kick in Soles’s door weren’t typical street thugs.

In fact, several media outlets have reported that the wounded intruder is a former client of Senator Soles — who doesn’t exactly have a squeaky clean history.

Wait, wait, wait — so let’s get this straight.

The most vociferous anti-gun zealot in North Carolina used a gun to wound and stop an intruder who wasn’t even a thief or common thug — but someone he knew personally?

This story is fun — almost as fun as breaking in a new pistol.

What’s significant here is that Comedy Central, whose founding principle is that “nothing is sacred” and that nothing is “out of bounds” has just decided that this deranged pompous rant is SACRED! It may not be mocked.

Moreover, how incredibly offensive was Olbermaniac’s rant to a Brown voter, who probably comprise about two thirds of the American population at the moment. Yet, Olberman is on the tube every Sunday playing a normal Joe on NBC’s NFL postgame show. Why conservatives don’t point this out I don’t know. They should, because it’s damning beyond belief.

Well, I have a firm belief that the Second Amendment was place right after the First Amendment for a reason.

Ok, ok…. He made fun of Olbermann. That is a huge change of direction for Stewart. But Stewart will follow the wind because his liberal mindset is not made of anything concrete. He is plain wrong by saying that Olbermann has “..ceded the high ground.” Olbermann NEVER stood on any real high ground in his life. His moral high ground is imaginary, because the man simply lacks any moral value in the first place.

The whole myth of “Jewish brains” has been debunked — they have book learning, but really very little common sense… that’s why the Israeli opinion of Obama is totally different from the American-Jewish opinion of him… Israelis live within spitting distance of the Muslim psychos and know what they are dealing with.

Don’t you realize that Stewart’s antics underscored that he didn’t DISlike Olberman’s takes on Scott Brown, but APPROVES of them?

IF JS was serious, he’d have put away the glasses. He would have stopped mugging for the camera. He could have been funny for 5 mins, and serious for 1:24, and it would have been a great segment. Instead, he laughed it off. Of COURSE he approved of Olberman’s attack. It allowed Olberman to be a lightning rod of controversy; that allows Stewart to use him as a stalking horse, chiding him (lightly) while everyone draws an assault on Olberman. Stewart mocks while he chides, making the Olberman rant more comical than dangerous — which is what it really is. For Olberman can now go after not just the candidate, but his family.

These are dangerous times. WAKE UP, people! Stewart does NOT disapprove of Keith Olberman’s assault on Scott Brown. In fact, he endorses it.
