Report: Rockets Fired from Egypt Hit Israel
Two major Israeli newspapers are reporting that rockets fired from Egypt have hit Israel.
“Terrorists in the Sinai Peninsula launched rockets into Israel Friday night,” reports the Jerusalem Post. “The rockets fell near an Israeli village on the southern border, causing some damage, but no injuries.”
The Israeli daily Haaretz reports, ”Rockets fired from direction of Egypt toward Eshkol Regional Council.”
It appears no damage was reported in connection with the rocket fire from Egypt. Earlier today, the Egyptian prime minister visited Gaza to express solidarity with the Palestinians there.
This new front comes a day after a rocket landed near Tel Aviv and on the same day Israel’s capital Jerusalem was the target of rocket fire. Those attacks were courtesy of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

I have often wished that we had a leader with the moral fiber and backbone exhibited by Netanyahu.
Israel has been blessed with some great leaders in trying times – Sharon, Dayan, and Meir.
I remember an image of Maj.General Sharon sitting on the hull of a tank as it advanced in the Golan Heights – he was pounding his fist on the tank.

Israelis wouldn’t have to contend with Egyptians (in addition to Hezbollah and Hamas) if the Obama Administration had supported Mubarak, and yet Jews turned out in droves (both in Israel and in the USA) to keep the Obama Administration in place. Go figure.
In fact, to expand on those points, it could be said legitimately that, whereas the Middle East was stabilized when the Bush Administration left office, the Obama Administration has [completely] destabilized the [entire] Middle East, and with the acquiescence of Jews with respect to those dynamics, also.

Although I will say that anyone from the USA who has been to Israel might consider it to be more of a curse or a punishment than a gift or a reward from God.
Few places on earth are more dreary or more depressing.
In fact, not even the most zealous of Jewish zealots could ever, for example, visualize Julie Andrews on the Golan Heights singing that the hills are alive with the sound of music, no, not even with garlands of flowers draped over the claymore mines.
