Pentagon wants to know: ‘Did Jesus die for Klingons too?’
From a workshop on whether Jesus’ salvation would apply to aliens to determining the color of the feathers on a 150-million-year-old creature deemed the Earth’s first bird, the Pentagon has spent money on some questionable projects, according to Sen. Tom Coburn.
At a time when many Republicans argue the Defense Department cannot afford new spending cuts, Mr. Coburn, Congress’s top waste-watcher, released a report Thursday arguing that in fact the Pentagon is awash in billions of dollars of non-security spending that should be cut.
“The American people expect the Pentagon’s $600 billion annual budget to go toward our nation’s defense,” the Oklahoma Republican said. “That isn’t happening. Billions of defense dollars are being spent on programs and missions that have little or nothing to do with national security, or are already being performed by other government agencies.”
Mr. Coburn said that over the next decade, the Defense Department will spend $6 billion on non-military research, $9 billion on running grocery stores, and some $37 billion on support and supply services that could better be done by civilians or the private sector.
Among the more curious spending was: more

Coincidentally and appropriate to mention here, too, Congressman Mike Kelly said on Greta one night last week that a very large sum of money appropriated to fund security for the U. S. consulate in Benghazi was diverted by Hillary Clinton to fund, instead, one of Barack Obama’s pet projects, the launch and promotion of the Chevy Volt in Vienna, Austria, of all places. They’re the most irrsponsible bunch to ever make up an administration. Like little kids playing house, only not as bright.

It has been concluded that Archaeopteryx was NOT the first bird. From fossils it has been determined that if it could fly, it didn’t fly well, and most likely, just hopped and glided its way between trees and ground. Kind of like “flying” squirrels that don’t fly, they glide. (Maybe the appellation of flying is perfect for darwinism since it is applied to squirrels!
Actually, it is a darwinian dead-end. No animal that came before it looked anything like it, and those that do came millions of years after it. In other words, it just doesn’t fit anywhere into the darwinian narrative. It is proof of nothing more than, feathers can keep an animal warm.

As for spending, you will notice that Republicans are willing to find malfeasance in military spending but the theft-wingers will say nary a discouraging word about the massive fraud, graft, and budgetary misconduct in the unconstitutional socialist entitlement programs of social security, welfare, and medicare.
Why is it that libtards howl like banshees at the Pentagon for spending $500 for hammers and $2000 for coffee makers but refuse to take action to overhaul Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac to rein-in their out-of-control, unscrupulous, and shady spending practices?

@Anne — It’s fairly easy to research Archaeopteryx. Just make sure you so some research using English translations of foreign studies. In this country, the ACLU and the Keepers of the Darwinian Faith make it difficult for any people of real science to show the massive gaps in the evolutionary narrative. Occasionally, one piece of truth slips through. Other countries have more freedom to denounce darwinism than we have here.

@Stranded in Sonoma: Interesting tidbits on Archaeopteryx. Did any government study find out if Jesus owned one?

Funny you should say that. I was just Googling it under a few different headings with “dinosaur birds” being the most prolific, describing and illustrating a few different species, one of which was as big as a Tyranosaurus Rex. Cool, huh?

I’ve thought long and hard about the ramifications on the general disposition of the mood of whoever made all this stuff should generals implement the final ultimate battle plans to reduce what was once something into something worth actually less than nothing because it would stink so much you wouldn’t ever want to come out of the hole you dug, which by the way wasn’t deep enough but don’t bother trying to dig deep enough because you would melt a lot of shovels and end up six foot under the ground on the other side of the earth so what’s the point?

I would like to put a picture of myself up for my avatar but if you would just make the shoulders a little less rounded it would be a fair enough representation. Or is that a side view?
