My question is: What if the seccession movement fails? Then the feces will hit the fan and it will be very bad. The struggle this nation faces is not left/right, rep/dem etc… it is Urban vs. Rural and the last time this struggle occurred in this nation there was a civil war fought over it. I hope and pray it doesn’t come to that but I have a feling hard times are ahead of us.

@Dr. Tar — That has always been my thought as well. Secession will result in the socialist-dominated cities being completely at the mercy of the intelligent rural areas. If the cities want to secede too, refuse them entry into the new country. Tell them they are on their own. DO NOT let anyone out and let nothing in. Forget about the two weeks. Leave them there for about 6-12 months. They’ll kill each other over redistributing the left-over scraps and that will solve two problems; having to fight for the cities and having to let the socialists into a free country.

My only worry is what will the military do? Many of the large bases are in conservative areas and I suspect many would drop 0bama as CIC like a smelly turd. One way to ensure this is to call your new country The United States of America. Refer to the 0bama-dominated hell-hole as the Marxist States of America. You can tell the military that they are still maintaining their oath to the USA. And remember, a entire state doesn’t have to secede; if a few counties of a socialist state wants to join, you let them. Say, the central valley of CA that is less than 1 percent of the total farmland in the United States but produces 8 percent of the nation’s agricultural output by value? And you call that state California. They don’t even have to change their country letterhead.

After seccesion, any metro areas left in the real USA will have changes made to their voting rights. Each 1,000 votes cast will only count as one. That still may be a little slanted on the smart scale.

CRAP! I’ve been stockpiling food and ammo, when what I should’ve been doing was buying up fencing! Sounds to me like chain-link and barbed-wire are going to be the hottest commodities in the coming market. We could just fence in the urban cesspools and leave them to their own devices for a short period… problem solved!!!

Honest to God, can’t somebody introduce a bill into the House with an offer to purchase Texas and its federal assets from Occupied America? Would go a long way to reducing the national debt and give freedom and individualism a safe haven from their onslaught.

@NCO77 — Actually, the right way to do that is to limit each major metro area (500k+ population?) to just one representative, and by extension, to just one electoral vote. Triple the number of metro representatives in a state and give those to the rural areas. Districts shapes are not based on population but on being as close to square as possible. Even with large cities that don’t meet the major metro definition, the rural areas will always have a least a 2-1 majority over the cities when it comes to representation and electoral votes.

Then limit the vote to people that own land.

Because of our Kenyan Communist Muslim-In-Chief stealing this election just like he did in 2008 via massive voter fraud, I am already looking into moving to Texas. I’m being dead serious. Load up the diesel pickup and it’s only a 6 hour drive to Houston.

A big plus is that they have great hunting & fishing.
