Bon Jovi’s daughter alive but in trouble after possible heroin OD

Bon Jovi is living every parent’s nightmare after his daughter, Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, was found “unresponsive” in her Hamilton College dorm room, with a 21-year-old guy and a “small quantity” of heroin. Thankfully, she survived the apparent overdose. Unfortunately, having a world-famous father means the 19-year-old will not only face criminal possession charges and possibly an addiction struggle, but the scrutiny of the media, as well. Bon Jovi has said he’s “never been a drug guy” after a few bad experiences early in his career. Hopefully this will be the only bad experience Stephanie needs before following his example.

We all can face this situation when our kids go off to college. Peer pressure, experimentation, etc., are powerful forces to be reckoned with when you’re 18-19-20 years old.
To me, this is less of a “celebrity” issue than it is a cultural issue that can affect any one of us.
