Rice has done a credible job? On the anniversary of 9-11, a United States ambassador was murdered in Libya. And, it turns out, this attack occurred over a period of several hours, and the White House knew about it. There were rockets, and there were mortars, and there were pleas for help, and there were statements by non-U.S. government officials that Al Queda may have been behind this.

Yet, Rice is told to go to the U.N. and claim that this was a spontaneous protest based upon a YouTube movie trailer produced by a rank amateur. Really? If it were me, and I were so inclined to cover for the White House, I would have said “o.k., I’m a company man so I’ll lie for you, but give me something to work with. Spontaneous demonstrators do not show up with rockets and mortars.”

Hardly anyone internationally – even those backward third world types we like to laugh at – believed this story. Sure, our liberals ate it up, but these are liberals and will believe anything Obama tells them. (Talk about backward third world types – we have them in abundance here). Rice not only lied, but she embarrassed this country in doing so. This is not a competent Secretary of State, she has already held up the United States as a laughing stock, and anyone who thinks foreign policy is important would not consider her for the position.
