Christie heads to Vegas for round of thank yous
10:44AM EST November 13. 2012 - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie plans to take a break from post-Sandy cleanup efforts and will head to Las Vegas for gratitude-tinged politics.
Christie said he will spend about 24 hours out of state to attend the Republican Governors Association (RGA) meeting on Wednesday. He told New Jersey reporters that he wants to show his appreciation for the help New Jersey received from across the country.
“I want to thank a bunch of fellow governors for their incredible responsiveness and I want to do it in person on behalf of the people of New Jersey,” Christie is quoted as saying in the Star-Ledger.
