People all over the country are beginning to fly their flags upside down.
November 13th, 2012
Too late now! Obama lied, people died. You got 4 more years. You own this!
I posted a picture of an upside down flag on Facebook last year. No one complained.
“The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.”
Do unconstitutional acts carried out by our government qualify, or should we wait to be drowned in debt before we send out a distress signal?
The only thing missing from this picture is the lit matches in poor old Uncle Sams hand!
Help from where? Reagan said that the USA is the last stand for freedom in the world and if it were to fall, that would be it. There would be no one to rescue us. And so it is.
We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children’s children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done. -Ronald Reagan
I am a USAF veteran from 1979 to 1985 and proudly served. I love my country (not to be confused with my govt.) and the US flag. HOWEVER…. Sunday afternoon Nov 11th, I purchased an 8 ft. pole and a new Us flag, attached it upside down and proceeded to march on the sidewalk along a busy highway in my town. I also affixed my military beret on my head and hung a canteen over my shoulder. I recieved a lot of waves, thumbs-up, honked horns and only one negative comment. Some local good ole’ boy shouted from his car “Boy, turn that flag around!” I guess he didn’t want to take the time to cofront me on the street. Shorly afterword, I approached by a former Army Ranger (Sua Sponte!) who was with his wife and daughter in their car. He inquired what UI was up to. I asked if he understood why my flag was upside down. He smiled and said “Oh,yes.” We engaged in pleasent conversation for a bit and then asked if he could take my picture and I agreed. Before they departed, he thanked me for my efforts. This was a huge boost to my moral. Near the end of my jouney, I was approached by a City Police Officer who only asked what my protest was about. I expressed my position and engaged in more pleasent conversation whereas he revealed he was in the USMC. (Semper Fi!) Before he departed he thanked me and told me to call their dept if
I had any problems. I believe I will repeat this protest again, soon and would encourage all fellow readers to do the same. Thank you to Big Fur Hat for providing us with a platform to vent. God Bless all of you!
I love living in Indiana…Only one of two states this election that said “not this time” to Obama.
We delivered a conservative Gov (Mike Pence), a super majority of Republicans in the state senate and house, and still have one conservative Senator (Dan Coates).
This election, we, the people if Indiana did not follow the rest of the swing states…We saluted Obama and the democrat party with one giant middle finger.
Distress isn’t the word for it ! But it’s a good start!
@Death_By_Farts – How do you think I feel? I’m in Florida and they once again voted for Bozo and managed to remove the one true American politician (West) not to mention – re-elected Shrek!
Good grief !
Only problem with it…It needs to be at Half mast…

Up until Nov. 7th I had been flying my flag day and night for about three years, to remind my neighbors that some of us still love America (we are surrounded by libs). I let the flag fly even after it had become tattered, ripped, and faded because that is how I felt about what boo had, and is doing to America. Ripping us to shreds. I took it down at 2:00 AM on the 7th and have not replaced it yet. I will burn it in due time and replace it, and now only fly it on days that honor America and Americans. I hate obama, but I will not give up on America. I am part of the 30% that will fight for the flag if it comes to that.
I actually just took my flag down and brought it in the house last Tue, and haven’t raised it since. I’ve thought of flying it upside-down, but I haven’t had the heart. I did notice a couple days before Veterans’ Day that Mr Smith, the 90 yr old WWII Fighter Pilot who lives near me, had his small mailbox-mounted flag upside-down and at half mast. That broke my heart that he had to do that after what he gave for this country!
Red & white, blue suede shoes, im uncle sam, how do ya do?
@racist.. i too have lowered old glory. Sad. I love her. She hasbeen replaced w/ USMC FLAG. Semper fi
The reporter at least gave some real time to people who feel the country is in distress b/c of Obama–not much to those who oppose it. And he pretty much gave them the last word as well. I hope a lot of people see this because it does contain the reminder that “it’s their opinion” and they have a right to it.
