National Papa John’s Appreciation Day

A viral Facebook post is calling for a national Papa John’s appreciation day in reaction the company having to cut employee hours because of ObamaCare. From the post:

The CEO of Papa John’s, John H. Schnatter, has said that he will have to cut employee hours because of Obamacare.  Schattner has received intense media scrutiny in addition to being demonized as an evil rich guy by the Left. Obamacare is a fiscal nightmare and because of it, many small businesses aren’t hiring now. Some are even closing their doors. Obamacare is now, as John Boehner said, “the law of the land.”
In solidarity with John H. Schnatter, we propose that November, 16th, 2012 be National Papa John’s Appreciation Day. The Left thinks we are discouraged; they think they have won. Let’s send a clear message this Friday, like we did on Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day, that we are here to stay and that we won’t stop fighting. There are over 2,600 Papa John’s stores in the United States. Let’s flood all of them like we flooded Chick-Fil-A.

We used to go there on a weekly basis but their quality went down to the degree that Domino’s is better.

I wasn’t able to do the Chik-Fil-A because we don’t have one, but we do have PJ!

As I said in response to someone who called the PJ CEO a “money greedy PIG”:

Money greedy pig? Really, Hafsata? Where’s your indignation for those who force others to pay outrageous sums of taxes so they can get all kinds of free stuff? They are so dazzled at that and seem to put such little thought into it they remind me of the kids who vote for the elementary school presidential candidate who promises to abolish detention and give free ice cream to all. And they are on national television proud and carefree about their ignorance and greed. I’ll be getting Papa John’s this Friday.

As my auntie used to say, there’s more than one way to skin a cat! Support free enterprise and tell the government they have no right to be dictating to business owners.

Where were these business leaders when their words might have meant something–before the election?

It’s like listening to mulch-millionaires Steve Winn and Donald Trump complain about oblammo’s policies, but–how much of their vast fortune did they spend to fight the bast*rd?

Better late than never doesn’t work this time.

Just had Dominos for dinner tonight because the early week pick up is all we could afford. However, pay day is coming up and I think Papa John’s will be on the menu Friday.

What those folks in libtardia who think they can boycott a few businesses and silence the truth fail to realize is that this is happening everywhere. One retailer I’m personally aware of sent a memo with their yearly benefits enrollment package to warn management not to schedule part timers over 29 hours.

Just one question — where have you been?

    Hi Jclady,

    This what I did:
Campaigning locally, making phone calls, giving my little 10 bucks here and there. Telling everyone what a disaster this guy is. Begging people to vote against him for everyone I know who is serving in the armed services now (and in the past, for that matter).

That’s what I can do in my personal life.

I do not have the resources these men do–and I’m not jealous. But, please tell me, why weren’t they speaking up and spending just a tenth–heck, a hundredth of their fortunes, fighting this guy. Like it or not, their money could do more than me, or a thousands me, could ever do.

I don’t post on this blog very much, though I very much appreciate the works and humor that goes on here.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying do not support Papa John’s, I just find it frustrating that people and companies are suddenly announcing all of these horrendous consequences of dem policies, when it means nothing in stopping those policies.

Had they been shouting this from the rooftops before the election, maybe we could have scored enough votes to overcome the rampant fraud.

@Tellane — but these CEOs were shouting out before the election.

Restaurants were the first to say the were cutting “full time” hours to under 30 to avoid Obamacare penalties. Now we’re hearing of retail industries cutting hours to part time.

Tell me, what jobs do your college-educated kids have? How secure are they? Are they young enough to still be on you insurance? If not, what’s their future?

I’m sorry, if they were shouting, I didn’t see the stories–which is likely. (Sorry about mixing see/hear, but you know what I mean.)

As for my kids, heck yeah, I’m very concerned for them–and everyone’s kids. Frankly, even if your child is in med school, I think you’d best be worried about what’s coming. If I didn’t have kids, I’d just roll with it–but, I do. I’m sure you’re worried for everyone, too. I think it’s ridiculous that soon, if you want a chance at having surviving, it will be common to work multiple part-time jobs.

Well, gotta go to bed so I can go to the gulag tomorrow!

    Thanks for chatting!

Yeah, tell John Schnatter “You didn’t build that.”

I only patronized CFA once as a “FU” to the mayors of the cities that didn’t want them; I’m not that impressed with the menu. But I have managed to choke down PJ’s on a regular basis.

What scares me – BO might pull an FDR on us and stay in power for four terms. By then all small business should be gone anyway. That seems to be BO’s goal, destroy American enterprise. He really hates our values!

There is another movement growing stronger everyday. We will boycott MSM and all of it’s advertisers. We will use social media to let advertisers know that we will not purchase from them as long as they advertise with MSM. We think this will be far more effective if the movement grows than spending our days complaining on FB or “sharing” those petitions to secede from the USA. Let’s take back our country by forcing honesty with the one thing that still has power in our country… Our $$$$$$$$

How convenient! My son turns 13 this Saturday so any guesses as to where we’re going to celebrate Friday? LMFAO…going to drag something like 30 kids of various ages to a pizza shop…they BETTER have beer, dammit!

@Barbara: LOL…been doing that for about 10 years now! Don’t watch TV, don’t have cable or a converter and the kids, mine and others, seem to appreciate that we watch a lot of movies (own over 1000)and have family nights with 10 child sleep overs….10 to 15 squawking ass kids are better than listening to barry’s home-self prattle on, any day!!!
With those celebs that came out in support of barry, I have a contest to see how far up into the woods the kids can fling their movies….gotta get creative, right? Kids love it and their learning something about politics and expression!
