FOX Nation

President Obama has a mandate to raise taxes on wealthy Americans, senior campaign adviser David Axelrod said on Sunday on CBS’s Face the Nation.

Obama has threatened to veto any bill that that does not allow tax rates to rise on households that earn more than $250,000 a year. Asked if Obama has won a mandate with his election victory, despite winning by a small percentage, Axelrod did not answer directly, but said Obama had won a mandate on taxes.

MSM: Mr. President, what effect will these tax hikes have on the deficit?

Yeah right like that will ever get asked.

@ Xavier, better question for the MSM,
WHEN Obozo’s higher taxes crush the economy and cause massive joblessness, destroying the lives of the ‘folks’ that voted for him, will Urkel still blame Bush ?

Considering his empty campaign, it’s equally correct to interpret his election victory as a mandate to play more golf.

Yep. When 51% can vote themselves freebies from the 49% we call that a mandate.

Go ahead. Tax the “rich”. Be like France and make it 75% of their income. Sure, that’s the way to make our “economy grow”.
Start with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Take 75% of their yearly income to support the Obamaphone folks.

Once they do raise taxes on the rich – what’s their plan after that? I mean, their lie is that raising taxes on the rich is part of a plan to balance the budget – which is their lie of a plan to get the economy going again. But none of their lie has anything to do with reality.

So they raise taxes on the rich and the economy gets worse. They’ve got to know that is what’s going to happen. So what do they have up their sleeves next? What is the next Big Lie?

Kevin, the next Big Lie would be “we didn’t raise taxes enough on enough people.” Suddenly, a “millionaire” is someone that makes over $100,000 a year.

    And when THAT doesn’t work…

I’ve been seeing opinions that much of Hollywood doesn’t fall into the 250K rule because acting isn’t considered full time work. I can’t verify this, but apparently the wording of the tax hike is a bit more complex that just ‘everybody over 250K’.

Plus, it’s 250K for families, 200K for individuals. For now.

The democrats are pretending that $250k is a lot of money. It is right now, but with the inevitable hyper-inflation due to the nation’s massive debt, $250k will soon be about what a part-time minimum wage earner will make in a year. Then the democrats can extract an even larger percentage of income from more people.

Go ahead. wealthy taxpayers will leave the country, just like they did CA when they screwed it up, just like they did in France. Everytime you take more away, there will be less to take, and consequently the burden will more and more fall on those that make 100K per year, then 50, then 30. IT WILL NEVER STOP UNLESS WE STOP IT.
It’s obvious to anyone with a brain that it’s better to actually have a budget to REDUCE SPENDING than kill the golden goose, but the ultimate goal here is to steal the gold and give Americans the goose, under any pretense, and it always has been.

I think I could make it the next four years without David Axelrod or Valerie Jarrett. Communists…one and all and running the United States. You own this, you low lifes that voted for Obummer.
