Does Obama Own an Abacus?
You can tax the rich at a 95% rate and it will not make a dent in the SPENDING PROBLEM!!!!!!
Friggin retard.
This obsession is nothing but revenge.
ABC -
President Barack Obama says he won’t accept a plan to avert the so-called fiscal cliff that doesn’t ask the wealthy to pay more in taxes.
In Saturday’s radio and Internet address, Obama says the election showed support for his “balanced” approach and Congress can provide certainty by extending tax cuts for middle-class families.
House Speaker John Boehner says in the Republican address Congress should not raise tax rates on Americans and instead focus on closing tax loopholes, lowering rates and fixing entitlement programs. Boehner says he is hopeful the two sides can come up with an agreement that would pass Congress.
The White House says Obama would veto any legislation extending tax cuts for families making $250,000 or more.
Obama is expected to meet with congressional leaders next week.

And guess who went golfing today? What an asshole.
What is the obsession with $250,000? They do not even try to acknowledge the difference between income and wealth.

It so cute how Obumsteer thinks the wealthy and their money will actually stay in this country and not pull up stakes and seek more inviting parts of the world. And his approach does wonders for encouranging foreign investment into the nation, why we already have one of the highest corporate income taxes in the world.
One might think he’s trying to meet a deadline for flat lining the economy.

I keep trying to think of an analogy to this “balanced approach” bullshit.
This isn’t good but it’s the best I can come up with right now.
Maybe it’s like a person who is morbidly obese.
Let’s say he weighs 350 lbs. and consumes 10,000 calories a day. He generally gains 20 pounds a year.
His doctor tells him that if he keeps eating this way, he’ll be dead in five years. Therefore, he must cut his calories to 5,000 a day. And he also must start exercising for one hour three times a week.
The guy says he can’t do it…maybe a compromise is in order.
Doctor Obama comes up with a “balanced approach”.
OK, then…he’s what you can do:
Exercise for a half-hour twice a week, and limit your calories to 12,000 a day.
Dead man/country walking.

No, he doesn’t own an abacus. And he is so afraid of showing his limitations that he won’t take off his shoes to count past ten. Thus most of his math is suspect.

The problem is the Republicans are not getting it across that the problem isn’t a lack of “Revenue” it’s a SPENDING problem.
“Weeping John” (great name Serfer) doesn’t have the cajones to come out and explain the spending. They need to buy an hour of TV time and explain where the spending is and WHERE IT HAS EXPLODED SINCE 2007.
After the special, it need to be online with data. Then every single member of the Republican party need to get out and spread the word and EDUCATE the morons we have out here.
We are running a TRILLION dollar deficit every year. We have no budget, so there is no accountability. We bring in less than 3 trillion in taxes and yet spend almost 4 trillion.
There is NO WAY to cover that deficit with taxes alone. I would consider higher taxes if there were SEVERE cuts in spending. Unfortunately, there are none and I KNOW FROM WATCHING the government they will not spend responsibly if they get more money.

The sooner we accept that “tax the rich” has nothing to do with solving the country’s financial problems the better.
“tax the rich” = the war on the makers on behalf of the takers.
Better nobody is wealthy than someone is wealthy who isn’t me.

How about the alcoholic model? Where the alcoholic has to hit bottom before facing the need to change ways. In this case 1/2 the country is the co-dependent family that is being dragged down with the alky and the other 1/2 are partying too.
In our case the bottom has got to be looming larger all the time, given that other nation’s aren’t lending to us any more so the Federal Reserve is buying the Treasury’s I.O.U. and there is only one way to pay that off – print more money. See Mark Stein’s recent column.

Well, I’m tired of acting like King Canute and commanding the waves to stop coming, so I’m reverting to my true progressive ways. And by this I mean “what’s in it for me?”
Sure, I’ll pretend to be concerned about the flagging middle class, I’ll rail against the rampant racism that 100% of white American believes in, I’ll pay lip service to climate change, I’ll bitch and moan about the plight of the poor and the minorities; hell, I’ll even say I support Sandra Fluke’s right to get boned without getting pregnant at tax payer expense, but the only litmus test I care about is “what’s in it for me personally?”
Oh, and I don’t want to work for it. I just wanted to make that clear as well.

Doesn’t need one. He has the Federal Reserve.
F*ck you if you don’t like Ron Paul, he is/was right on the Federal Reserve and the fact that we are already over the cliff. A lot of Paultards voted for Obama to escalate the demise under a socialist anti constitutional President.
I voted for the RINO Romney buying the line that I had to be a good little Republican. What the hell happened to the 2010 roust? Where did the Tea Party go? Where did I go? I voted for Romney… Thanks Ann Coulter thanks Sean Vanity!
It should have been Palin / McCain (or better) on the ticket in 2008, or Ryan / Romney (or better) then conservatives would have won! Romney is no conservative, just another NE blue blood country club Republican. The GOP needs to wake up and smell the Tea Party or its GOP-GONESVILLE!

Here is a start for cutting spending. Have Obama work without a salary and give up his pension.
As he points out, he’s wealthy and doesn’t need the extra money he gets from tax breaks.

@Wyatt – I am with you. I am for myself and my kids only. To hell with everybody else. My son has a friend that comes over all of the time with his sisters (4) and they have been constantly asking for food and drinks. His mom is a liberal so I told the kids no more food over here. I DON’T have any to give. I can barely feed my own. I used to be a giving person but f it!
