One final note and perhaps the most important. Acting CIA director Mike Morell will testify in place of Petraeus next week on Benghazi. Yeah, that sounds kinda fishy:

My niece wanted to join the FBI but a background check revealed another uncle had spent time in prison. She was barred from applying on the grounds that she was open to blackmail or influence by this individual. Just sayin’.
The accusations here are diversion, even though they may be true. What’s important is that Petraeus will not have to testify before Congress. This is a move that would make Slick Willy proud.

Those of you intrigued by the security clearance issue, be sure to contrast everything you hear in relation to how the pluck Huma Wiener got her job let alone how she can continue to hang onto it.
It’ll be interesting to see just how much the media covers this facet of this story, security. If they don’t cover it much, then the details are still out there if you look for them.

Good point. If Patraeus were an Obot like Huma, he’d have gotten a nudge nudge wink wink about the affair. Plus they’d have him in their pocket forever. Apparently he had the choice of lying to Congress or being exposed. Now the Senate doesn’t want him anywhere near the hearings.

I suspect that he was more vulnerable to being blackmailed by scoundrels in this sleazy current administration than by anyone else, like, for example, by really, really sretching a clause in the Uniform Code Of Military Justice to still somehow apply to him, the clause that cites adultery as the equivalent of a felony. Which might apply if he never resigned his rank.
Why do these rich and powerful men have affairs with skanky women? Considering their stature, one would suspect that they could do much better like JFK did.

Why was the FBI monitoring the CIA in the first place?
Were they trying to dig up dirt for Obama that could be used as political leverage (aka black mail)?

Pardon the paranoia but I have to wonder if the general will decide to “comnmit suicide” like so many others who became liabilities to the clintons and obastard. And now that he’s elected and the “press” is still his worshipful hand puppet, not to mention the idiots who voted for him and think the Benghazi incident was a creation of FOX news, why would obastard care if the truth comes out? There don’t appear to be enough patriots in congress who care enough about the country to do anything about impeachable offenses. Plus, the senate would acquit if the House did manage to find the stones to impeach.

LT. COL. RALPH PETERS: The timing is just too perfect for the Obama administration. Just as the administration claimed it was purely coincidence that our Benghazi consulate was attacked on the anniversary of September 11th. Now it’s purely coincidence that this affair — extra-marital affair — surfaces right after the election, not before, but right after, but before the intelligence chiefs go to Capitol Hill to get grilled. As an old intelligence analyst, Neil, the way I read this — I could be totally wrong, this is my interpretation — is that the administration was unhappy with Petraeus not playing ball 100% on their party-line story. I think it’s getting cold feet about testifying under oath on their party-line story. And I suspect that these tough Chicago guys knew about this affair for a while, held it in their back pocket until they needed to play the card.
I don’t like conspiracy theories, I may be totally wrong, but the timing of this, again, right after the election and right before Petraeus is supposed to get grilled on Capitol Hill, it’s really smells.

@bfh or iotw – I just read that General Carter Ham and Rear Admiral Gaouette were “relieved” of duty after the Benghazzi killings. Did you guys do a story of this? Might have missed it. Why isn’t the military standing up or why isn’t the news covering this? Fox?? Again I might have missed it, let me know please.
