It’s an Obama world…
After Obama won reelection an Ohio businessman read a prayer to his staff then went and laid off 156 employees.

The mine owner blamed Obama as the reason for layoffs back in August.

Elections have consequences.
The Washington Post reported:

For the chairman and chief executive of Murray Energy, an Ohio-based coal company, the reelection of President Obama was no cause for celebration. It was a time for prayer – and layoffs.

Robert E. Murray read a prayer to a group of company staff members on the day after the election, lamenting the direction of the country and asking: “Lord, please forgive me and anyone with me in Murray Energy Corp. for the decisions that we are now forced to make to preserve the very existence of any of the enterprises that you have helped us build.”

On Wednesday, Murray also laid off 54 people at American Coal, one of his subsidiary companies, and 102 at Utah American Energy, blaming a “war on coal” by the administration of President Barack Obama.”

The coal will still be in the ground…after “O” is gone, someone in the future will find a use for it.

Nah, then he just declares a national emergency and nationalizes the coal industry. The Army that Conservative insist won’t back him will be there armed and ready to enforce his orders. Standard issue FDR tactics but without a few people in his own party to restrain him.

It is time to bleed this pig.

We have been stressing out – trying to figure a way to save the Republic before it comes apart. It makes more sense at this point for us to hasten the unraveling and then pick up the pieces after the fact.
There will be much suffering among the dependent class. Frankly, I don’t give two shits for them anymore.

Obama isn’t going to do away with Coal. He will wipe out private ownership by taxing and regulating them out of business. Then his friends the Ruskies and China can own them.

He is going to GM the rest of industries in the US starting with energy. If you own all energy production, you own the people.

That was exactly what happened after Obama was elected in 2008, and in even larger numbers right fter he was inaugurated in 2009 – all as a vote of no confidents in that empty suit. I

In fact, unemployment didn’t even begin to skyrocket up to 9.5% until immediately after that pretentious, decadent dilletante’s inauguration, contrary to what the DNC and their shills in the MSM alleged; disingenuously saying that unemployment was already way up when Obama came into office.

In fact, just prior to the 2008 election (and while still under the Bush Administration) unempoyment was at only 4.7%.

Romney should have called those liars on that huge discrepency, just as he should have defended Bush.

By 2014 the cost of electricity is going to triple in the NE and continue rapidly upward from there.

The people who will be hardest hit by this are the ones who can afford it the least (those that voted for Teh Won).

I really don’t think 0bama “won” this election. There are just too many questionable statements and events in the past year to ignore. The liberals talk about W “stealing” the 2000 election as if it were an absolute fact but react to ANY questions about 0bama with charges of hatred and racism. Screw ‘em, I’ve had enough of being polite around these dopes.

Wait, don’t coal miners have unions?

I mean WTF is a communist like Obolshevik doing not sacrificing the environment, the economy, public health, etc. to keep organized labor earning for the unions and siphoning off to the Democommies?

The coal unions weren’t foolish enough to actually oppose Teh One?

I guess even publicly stating your doubts about this administration will make you an undesirable. Just not enough votes among those coal miners to be pandered too anymore. But, hey they’ll still get the consulation prize of free condoms for all!

While I would feel nothing but satisfaction for someone laid off who was a dyed-in-the-wool democrat/Obama supporter or someone who could have but did not vote I suspect that a lot of the layoffs coming did vote for Romney and they will be the largest group hurt. The GOP is mostly made up of people with jobs, who work hard to support families and understand what democracy is while the base of the Dems is often unemployed, living on government largesse in the form of EBT cards (food stamps) and pay no tax.

As far as the Coal Mine Union leadership goes the strongest thing they said was they weren’t going to say much in this election at all. I gather they still donated to Obama though it was against the wishes of the rank and file.

    @ Keyser Söze:

Oh, I definitely see the free ride coming to an end once business is either fully nationalized or essentially controlled by the state. No leftist wants a welfare state when they run things and for that matter, they aren’t very tolerant of moral decadence and corruption either. I can’t think of a single authoritarian regime in the last century that put with that sort of stuff for very long after they gained control. It’s a very small step from “the less fortunate” to “useless bread gobblers” when leftists take control.

As an aside, a friend I would credit with being my Conservative voice of reason during my youthful travels in the lefty wilderness used to remind me that the Nazi party was full of gays (primarily in the SA) until they’d exceeded their usefulness.
