Sorry Louisiana, it will not work – unless you can build a wall to keep illegal progressives out… from the old country up north.

It won’t work for any states that were confederate, I think all of them has written in their state’s constitution that they cannot secede ever. But I could be wrong…maybe Texas is the only exception.

I am with Rush. Let him have it all. The GOP should vote present on all bills and just let them run the roost.

The problem is that Louisiana is still way too statist and corrupt to stand on its own. A separate Louisiana would be more a third world kleptocracy than the idealized limited government constitutional republic most people on the Right desire.

There’s a bumper sticker you see a lot that says “Louisiana, Third World And Proud Of It!” That pretty much sums up the state.

PS – Buy stock in Ammo companies.

The (large) local gun shop I just came from was out of ammo. Not out of 12ga. not out of .45 ACP I am talking OUT of ammo.

There was a few boxes of .177, what the hell is that?

The point is, they were out. They had 60% of full inventory 3 days ago.

Guns were going too. Only shotguns over $1,200 and up were left.

The way things are going..perhaps you should consider a “spear-gat” instead? you know what the scuba divers use..a spear gun..that way you’ll save money on Ammo..and the spear is attached to a rope so you’ll probably never lose it..(laughing)

If you are looking for a southern state other than Texas here are three good ones:

Georgia shifted strongly Republican years ago, and the GOP holds every statewide office.

Tennessee has voted for the Republican presidential candidate in each election since 2000.

A Democratic presidential candidate hasn’t won in Oklahoma since Lyndon Johnson in 1964.
Republican leaders have dubbed Oklahoma the “reddest of the red” states since 2008. Obama failed to win a single one of Oklahoma’s 77 counties in that general election.

(copied from some liberal shithole website)

Oklahoma is great. Learn to speak Redneck and ditch the California plates before you enter the state. Serious about the license plates.

From Edith: “It won’t work for any states that were confederate, I think all of them has written in their state’s constitution that they cannot secede ever.”

Only law I haven’t seen broken was incorporated under physics.

Laws huh? Anybody still paying federal taxes? Why, because the ‘law’ says you have to? The ‘law’ also says congress has to pass a budget every year. They’re spending your money without legal authority.

“Continuing Resolutions” hold about as much weight as “Your Honor, I had no idea she was three.”

Hmmm, you must have a WH account to sign the petition.

Well, I’ve wondered if Alaska will try this; geographically we have the advantage but really if it came to all that, I’m sure the United States (well the Obama government) would try to attack us. (Gosh that sounds weird to say.) Because on the one hand we have so much oil to develop we could keep it going for a long time to come, and I don’t think they will like to see us have that kind of control.
On the other hand, will American soldiers fire on Alaskans, who would technically be “other” but really Americans all the same, even if not in name…? We have several big bases here (Eielson, Richardson and Elmendorf) and loads of defense infrastructure.

But…I also think, it would make us so vulnerable to Russian or NK attack…maybe?

Sorry to go off topic, I really wonder what others think about different states’ issues with secession and the likelihood if things got really bad, etc.

Irony, we have no humidity in this area of Alaska, just about everybody is armed and best gourmet pizzeria in the world (brews its own beer as well). Plus, moose meat tastes way better than nutria !!! :D

This morning on Nashville’s #1 AM talk radio station, numerous people called in and presented strong arguments for our state’s leaders to strongly implement our state’s 10th Amendment rights and/or for our state to secede.

For us conservatives here in Tennessee, the one good thing that came out of Tuesday’s election is that Republicans now have a “Super Majority” in our state legislature.

Since Tuesday, I’ve talked with numerous friends, all of which are A) buying more guns, and B) buying more ammo. Talked with a good friend in Buffalo; he said he and his friends are all doing the same.

I just found out last night about States filing to secede petitions. saw over 30 states now. Interesting some states that Romney thought for sure he would win but were given to Nobama!! When our great country was first formed it wasn’t a president it was a group of men that put together the Declaration of Independence. Basically as before that happened there was a civil war. A lot to be considered how would the states protect themselves from foreign invasion? The president is the commander in chief of our troops, sad but true. Each state would have to form a militia. There are a lot of programs in states to help the needy and elderly they have to go through state funding if that runs out then maybe they get federal funding. Maybe all the states wanting to secede should have their governors come together and stand united and let Obama have to stand alone with few states left to try an accomplish his agenda which would then fail. We the People is what is important not politics and democrat or republican parties.
