@Banana Republican: I’m in. But only if I can wear a military style uniform with epaulets – I really like epaulets. And a cool hat. And I would like a limousine so I can drive around making sure the subjects are working hard enough to provide their masters with the lifestyle to which we wish to become accustomed.

I’ve coined a new term for people who have been railing against their oppressors for the last 60 years — “street trees.” Take off the wires with the lengths of garden hose, disconnect the apparatus from the wooden stakes and let’s see which of them can take the next 40 mph gust of wind.

If gov’t paternalism is a step up to these folks, then I say let ‘em have it for the rest of their lives. Let them raise (using that term loosely) their kids to be on the make and the take, give ‘em reparations that they’ll burn through faster than a bad dot com idea, flood the gov’t with under-performing people who steal all the pens. I do not care. I only ask that they do it all very quickly so the rest of us don’t have to listen to them any more.

Between abortion and “brother” homicide, the so-called “black community” is living out the result of what they’ve bought into.
