Obama thanks supporters, asks for cash
President Barack Obama’s 10:35 p.m. thank-you e-mail to his supporters included a fund-raising solicitation.
“I’m about to go speak to the crowd here in Chicago, but I wanted to thank you first… Today is the clearest proof yet that, against the odds, ordinary Americans can overcome powerful interests,” read the statement.
Just after his signature, comes one additional paragraph.
“Because you’ve saved your payment information, your donation will go through immediately:
“QUICK DONATE: $3 // $35 // $50 // $100 // $250 // Or donate another amount.”
