Where Did the Voters Go? Nowhere.

Commentary

As the national vote total began to solidify last night, one question on the minds of Republicans was: Where are the missing voters? Last night it looked like Mitt Romney had received something like 10 to 15 percent fewer votes than John McCain had in 2008, even though his percentage of the overall vote was at least two points higher. What did this mean? Where did the voters go? They didn’t go to Barack Obama, because exit polls suggested he had basically turned out the same demographic support he had four years ago. So where are they? Did this suggest a significant element of the GOP base had stayed home? Perhaps evangelical voters quietly refusing to cast a ballot for a Mormon? Populist voters disgusted by the 47 percent tape?

Bingo! on the not voting for a Mormon. My daughter said that many of her facebook friends did not want to vote for Romney for that reason. My wife got a call from her mom in OK. She was distraught. She said that of her 13 or so little old ladies in her Sunday school class, she was the only one that voted for the Mormon.

Just shaking my head. Sad day.

    I agree.
Sarah Palin brought in a ton of votes.
Romney being a Mormon left many people home sitting on their hands.
66% of Jewish voters voting for Obama will tell you how complex and fucked up religion can be.

I don’t believe any of it. We’ve been had. I saw UNBELIEVABLE turnout at my poll and read dozens of similar reports around the country.

I think there was a HUGE Republican turnout. Something doesn’t make sense….

I also saw a HUGE Republican turnout where I live, and that is in the reddest part of the San Diego area.
Not once, in all of the Republicans I had talked to before the election did I hear any hint of reluctance in voting for Romney because he was a Mormon.
I don’t believe this story is correct.

It was awesomely big in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. The 2016 movie was seen by so many. People know so much more about Frank Marshall 0bama jr now that they did four years ago. Even his own people were fleeing. It does stink worse than anything I’ve ever seen.

I am not a conspiracy guy.
    1) Kennedy was killed by a lone gunman (Been to the book depository and did my research).
    2) We landed on the moon. (What, 7 times?).
    3) 9/11 was perped by ignorant 7th century fucked up muslim extremists whom are currently burned to a crisp.
    4) OJ needn’t look for the “real killers”, just a mirror.
    5) Al Gore is not an android. (though an android would have had an advantage in internet inventioning.)
    6) Roswell/Area 51 (or 57 if you are O)….???

Yet this election being a lower turnout?
Many in Florida wanted to extend the early voting to include this past Sunday and Monday.
    Shit just don’t add up???
    The numbers do not jive.
They would still be voting in South Florida if that is what it took to re-elect teh won.

I saw 0bama on tv before any of the numbers were in and his face looked way too confident that he was going to win. Nobody can ever convince me that it wasn’t fixed from the start.
All the people I talked to were all so sure because all the people they talked to were all set on voting for Romney.
I called everybody I know to make sure they had voted before the polls closed, and they all did.
Mitt should have won by a landslide.

I have absolutely no confidence in our voting system.
Ultimately there needs to be a centralized database that is monitored by a Price-Waterhouse-Coopers or some such firm.
If it is good enough for the Oscars…
Anyway, it should take DAYS to tally all votes. Military, absentee, etc. Why does it all have to happen by election night?
Also, ID should be via thumb-print or retina scan.
    Some form of biometric.
    Goddamn, it is 2-thousand-fucking-twelve!!!!
Yet I guarantee some guy who has been dead since 1873 from Illinois voted twice for Obama.
    *Sigh*

I would look to the early/absentee voter angle…

I mean who is to question somebody’s actual residence when recieving these early ballots when they are signed “confirming” their residency?

    Pertaining to presidential elections…

What’s to stop me from getting a friend in another state to give me an “extra ballot for poor old grandma” or “whoever” and then send it to me so that I can vote in that state and then show up to my voting spot to cast another vote for my canidate…by the time anybody checks (if anybody) the election has been over for months.

Maybe I’m being too conspiratorialistic (damn..is that even a word?)but…I’ll leave you with this thought,

Back in the day, I never heard of an Earth,Wind, and Fire concert being in town until the next day…and I listened to ALL the radio stations in town…but all the black people I worked with knew.

I’ll wait until the official counts are in but I think that in this case perception is reality meaning that people thought the turnout was huge because that’s what they were told was going to happen but it wasn’t the reality. I’m sure there was some fraud that turned some seats but not the entire election (at least I don’t think so although it’s beyond me how West was defeated and that asshole Grayson elected). Anyway, if there conservatives that didn’t vote I do hope they feel a regret that is amost painful.

    2008 Vote Tallies:

    Obama: 69.5 million (52.9%)
    McCain: 59.9 million (45.7%)
    Other: 2 million (1.4%)
    Total: 131.4 million

    2012 Vote Tallies:

    Obama: 60.1 million (50.5%)
    Romney: 57.4 million (48.3%)
    Other: 1.4 million (1.2%)
    Total: 118.9 million

12.5 million less votes overall in 2012 from 2008.
9.4 million less votes for Obama
2.5 million less votes for GOP Opponent
0.6 million less votes for Other

Obama lost a lot of disillusioned voters, who sat this one out.

I’m guessing the GOP ticket lost votes from disillusioned democrats because of Ryan and lost votes from fucktarded “I ain’t votin’ fer no Mormon!” republicans because they’re stupid and utterly in love with their fuckheaded notions of conservative philosophical purity. Romney also lost the Ronulan vote for the same fuckheaded reasons, but I don’t know how large that actually is.

I am from the UK so american politics are a stranger to me .
But I watched the problems with the people pressing the gagets and getting the wrong person to whom they were voting for,
    Example ,
VOTE FOR OBAMA = ROMNEY LIGHTS UP ,?
so they vote again and romney lights up ? == 2 votes to obama 0 for romney,
Do you see where I am coming from ,
Because they thought that they were voting for romney they clicked the button again for obama so has they go 2 votes instead of 1.FOR OBAMA.
