I heard the news about Grayson and West early this morning.
Wests’ district in FL was gerrymandered after the 2010 elections. Feckless Boehner and the other RINOs in the House did nothing on this either.
The contest between West and idiot Murphy was only a matter of ~2,500 votes , I thought there was going to be a recount. Did West concede or is he going to ask for a recount?

Oh God, how can this disaster get any worse? Oh, Puerto Rico just gained statehood and with it two Senate votes and however many HOR votes which will of course be Dem.

Mia Love was up by double digits not so long ago. More proof of voter fraud. They don’t even care how obvious it is.

I hate to see Alan West get voted out. But the Republican establishment was just as responsible of getting him beat as the Demoncrats. He did not tow the line for the establishment and they had to get rid of him.
The only good news is that he now can make a lot more money in the real world and he can say what he wants without worries. He can actually be a greater influence on the Tea Party and the true Conservatives being out of the House. Just like Sarah Palin did, she has more influence now than she did as VP candidate.

And Joe Walsh was defeated by that Communist Duckworth–another blow. West is demanding a recount–wasn’t it the Florida Republicans that actually gerrymandered his district to start with?

Can’t stand to even look at Galoomphy much less hear its hateful, communist gum flapping.

I called and spoke with a kindly woman at West’s D.C. office this morning to convey our heartfelt sadness at the loss of his office. I could tell she was very dejected, but still she said “thank you so much for calling.” She also said that the count isn’t completely in, with about 40K votes still left to be counted. She confirmed that the race has not been officially closed. I said a prayer for West when I got off the phone. Then hot tears of bewilderment finally came.

GOP fails to take the Senate.
California passes Jerry Brown’s hike in the sales tax and income tax rates on wealthy individuals. Approves a hike in corporate taxes.
Tammy Baldwin becomes the first openly gay Senator.
Maryland and Maine legalize “gay marriage.”
And for the first time in my life, I have no nationality.

I know I felt great certainty in the virtualness of my vote when I placed a gold chipped atm card into a slot, punched some buttons on a screen, returned the card and received an “I voted” sticker. Well, yes I did, but where did it go? Is is resting with that lost word doc from last summer? REALLY? no paper? The stupid machine certainly can be programmed to print out a receipt that I can verify and someone else can count!!! I felt disenfranchised just walking out of the booth.

@Crusty… take what you can. Ignore rules and laws you find inconvenient or with which you disagree. Stop being charitable with all but others who share your values and views. Hide assets. Barter and avoid taxes. The useless drones of society, the takers, are undeserving of consideration or compassion. Let the harshness of a society that was previously kept in check by the people they hate (conservatives) wash over them. Protect yourself, family, and friends, and close your eyes to the plight of the dependent class. If you can afford to stop working or own a business and can afford to close it, do so. The left chose servitude and dependency on big government over liberty, so make sure they get nothing from you as an individual. And arm yourself.

I would up-ding you again Steven if I could. Careful with that law thing, part of survival is staying out of the system.

This makes me kind of curious.
There weren’t even any Representative slots on the ballot I filled in. Just president, treasurer, judges and amendments.
How can that be?

This is a very, very bad dream. Someone please wake me.
We will be feeling the effects of this for decades to come, with at least two Obama SCOTUS picks. Probably Jeremiah Wright and Eric Holder.
States Rights movements is the only thing that can save the red states at this point, but regretfully the remaining R’s in D.C. will be falling over themselves to find “compromise”.
Since when did D.C. get electoral votes ???

@Mary. I am too surprised by this and Mia’s losses. I believe voter fraud. We heard and read about it all day on Tuesday and now today not a word about it. Rush touched on it briefly but the most that I heard today was that we live in a different America now. Something was happening behind the scenes and I’m not sure now if my vote even really mattered. Somebody else is pulling the strings.

Five GOP campaign contributions — including to Mia Love — and just one win. But, it’s a good one: Michele Bachmann. Drives my progtard relatives out in Minnesota INSANE!

@FreedomCat–
It’s the only thing that makes sense of the nonsense. The Left saw what occurred in 2010 and vowed never to let that happen again. And there was sure no way in hell they’d let BHO be voted out, or be checked by a Republican House AND Senate.
I do not disagree that we are in a “new America” now. Especially now, after the fact. I just don’t believe it went over the cliff right before this election.
