We couldn’t of had a worse election last night. I woke up feeling totally defeated. I’m really upset at how our country seems to vote with emotion instead of logic.
As far as California goes someone posted here a while back, I think it was Wyatt, the best thing you can do in Cali is vote for every brain dead things the libs put in front of you to expedite the process. This morning I totally agree with that train of thought.
Stupid is as stupid does.
“Stupid is as stupid does.”
Well we are all California now aren’t we.
Well, of course! “Education” is what got us into this mess!

And naturally, the money for skewls always go to some social program for illegals or secret business trips to Ensenada Mexico.
Actually I think indoctrination got us to this point. People are educated when they figure it out.
Wyatt, Insensitive Progressive Jerk
The Proposition 30 campaign was interesting – even liberal newspapers realized passage would hurt California’s economy, and virtually everyone believes the state politicians are lying when they say the money will actually go to education. Many of California’s serious problems are caused by California’s politicians, yet the best answer anyone could come up with is “give them more money.” Even the L.A. Times’ “endorsement” was basically “hold your nose and vote yes.”
Unfortunately, Jerry Brown and the Sacramento Democrats rigged the state budget so that if Proposition 30 did not pass, the education budget was scheduled to take a massive hit. At the college level, teachers were told that if Prop. 30 did not pass they would be laid off, and students were told that tuition would skyrocket. As a sop to the liberals, Proposition 30 promised to raise income taxes only on the “rich,” but most of the money will probably be as a result of the sales tax increase which hits everyone. It was government extortion at its finest.
But will it fix anything? The probable answer is “no.” I doubt that Proposition 30 will result in increased revenue of $6 billion – you cannot stimulate an economy by raising taxes. And when our politicians get done playing their annual shell games in Sacramento, some spending cuts in the education budget may be restored, but the bulk of the revenue will likely be wasted elsewhere.
As a final thought on Prop. 30, when our state professes concern over “education,” we actually mean “the people who work in education.” California is still a progressive state, and so long as our children learn to do what they are told to do, and think like they are told to think, and learn enough math and reading to figure out their EBT cards and vote, the politicians are happy.
But for me, it was much simpler. If Gov Moonbeam is for it, I’m against it.
“The National Socialist Party appeals to the masses’ emotions and then keeps them in tension through a combination of terror and propaganda.”
Hitler was elected, too.
jus sayin yo
“secret business trips to Ensenada Mexico.”
gotta keep yo people happy, hon
I predict not one dime of this tax increase on us will go to education, the police or firefighters. Furthermore, this “temporary tax increase” will become permanent. And to make matters even worse, Gov Moonbeam has a supermajority in the legislature. Really demoralizing. However, if you take a look at a look at voter results on a map of CA, you’ll see that the majority of the state is RED. The population centers around LA, SF and Fresno are blue. Proud to say Orange & San Diego counties remain red.
Hey Trixie, Remember the California lottery that was suppose to save the schools. I guess that didn’t work. Check it out, it all goes into the general fund,
