Here is the Simpsons last night, mocking voter ID and implying that proponents of ID laws would fast track uninformed voters.

    Let us pray the voter fraud groups can’t find these people to round them up and take them to vote at two or three polling stations. I’m not certain they could find their own way.

    Do you know who it is you are going to vote for in this election? 0bama. I just don’t like Romney. What is it about Romney that you don’t like? Is it that he is pro-choice? Yes, and it’s just his general…it’s just him in general. I don’t like him. Is it because he’s a muslim? It has nothing to do with religion or what his views are, I just don’t like him.

    1 — He’s pro-life and he’s a Mormon, you schmuck!

    2 — What do you think the press would say if a conservative said that they weren’t going to vote for 0bama and that it had nothing to do with his views, they just didn’t like 0bama? Yeah, Tingles would be running the audio every night under the heading of Typical Racist Republican Voter.

    3 — She’ll be the one leading the looting of the stores during the riots after 0bama loses.

    this is off topic but I’m just curious…

    I am very optimistic, and I love reading all the predictions of a Romney landslide, but, does anyone remember where some of the same predictions were the day before the election in 08? I can’t remember anyone except Dick Morris, and if I remember correctly, he was calling for a McCain victory. Anyone have more info?

    I suspect that the Simpson biggest viewing group is conservative in nature. The show is generally funny, not cruel and usually ends on a fun note. To see them use the show to take a pre-election shot at conservatives. Well, I hope they remember this next Sunday with their tv remotes.

    Not that plot congruity really has any place in an animated show like The Simpsons, but Homer drives a car – a station wagon to be specific. Therefore, he has a driver’s license, and thus a government photo i.d. Past episodes also show Homer on commercial flights (including a flight to Australia) – another activity that requires a government i.d. (including a passport).

    Yes, I will admit to leading a sorry life when I stoop to criticizing plot inconsistencies in cartoons.

    Also, I’m sure since Homer works for the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant that he has an employee photo ID…unless…that was one of the 340 violations they were cited with. Hmmm…

    But then, it could have been LBJ, based on the passage of the Voting Rights Act.
