Massive Decrease in Early and Absentee Voting—in Chicago
The Illinois Republican party claims early and absentee voting has precipitously fallen since the 2008 presidential election.
According to the numbers, at this point in 2008, there were 260,376 early voters and 304,290 absentee voters. Now, the party maintains, there are 195,064 early voters and 46,232 absentee voters. That’s a loss of 57 percent of voters, since the last election.

This, the Illinois Republican party says, is a terrible sign for Democrats.

Well, that accounts for all the dead early voters.
What about the live ones?

Illinois was all red in 2008. It’s just those 2 hold out counties that fuck everything up for the rest of us.

That would be fantastic if Illinois went red and Chris the Tingler turned blue.

There has been a massive increase in early voting in my County, which happens to be 70% Republican. I call that good news for Romney.

Just hoping that they didn’t retreat to districts around the country where a couple of hundred or so votes changes the outcome from what it would be without these transient interlopers.

That is the 57% who voted for Romney.

I can tell you that the “off the record” feeling is that O’suk balls is holding his election night festivities at McCormick place is because they feel he may not win. Also, it’s easier to stiff this facility for the cost of this highly restricted event.

They should have thought about that when they handed out all the free 0bamaPhones. Now they are all too busy talking to other freeloaders to give a shit about voting.

So yesterday, in “redistricted Illinois,” I was outside most of the day. It was nice out and I had outside stuff to do.
Weird looking people were out, they walked up and down the street but only stopped here and there. I was outside, yet none of them stopped to talk to me.
What does that mean?

I live in Lakeview which is as liberal as Chicago neighborhoods get. I haven’t seen the first Obama sign on anyone’s lawn all year.

CrustyB, They have it all locked up, why waste a sign in Boys Town when you can plant one in Iowa?
I too noticed the 10/2 Romney/Obama signage, then I see the South and West Side berate democrats yet still vote for them because, “no republican comes to talk to them.”
If Romney fails tomorrow, it will be because he didn’t take it to these folks.

You know that Tiny Dancer would never give him a permit for Grant Park or Soldier Filed, but I think Romney f@cked up a HUGE opportunity bu not holding a massive rally right in Rahm’s backyard, say, the Rosemont Horizon (yes, I know I’m dating myself) or a similar, in their face venue.
If Romney drops this, it will only have been for lack of aggression.

why that’s extremely abnormal….why the republicans are back to stealing votes by the good hardworking people…. these numbers have to be adjusted and corrected to reflect the realitiy of the situation

Illinois needs to break in to two states. Cook County and the real Illinois. Of course you’d have Cook County then as the poorest, most corrupt state in the nation then, but at least the rest of us wouldn’t have to hang our heads in shame for living in this democrat/ruined sewer.

Illinois is always the first state on the map to light up on election night…If it lights up red, it will be known as the New Shot Heard Round the World…

How do we make it so? As a proud LAKE COUNTY resident, count me in!
I actually bought a home six houses into Lake County from the Crook County border just to be clear of that mess. And let me tell ya, the air up here in Lake County is so much fresher! It’s God’s country, man!
