Today was National Dance for Obama Day, in which flash mobs were organized as part of a get out the vote effort in numerous cities.

The weekend before Election Day, we’re turning up the heat and encouraging people to get out and vote with flash mobs across the country.

In Manhattan, the flash mob took place at Herald Square, 34th Street and 6th Avenue in the heart of Midtown far from the chaos elsewhere in the city.

Nonetheless, only about 12 dancers showed up in this GOTV effort.

Legal Insurrection’s correspondent was there to film the dance and interview some of the participants.

    National dance…. 12 people…..I’m impressed. I really do have trouble believing there are that many people that still support the POS.

    Sounds like that sickly disturbing part of meltdown in Stravinskys’ “The Rite Of Spring”. How appropriate.

    It’s stunning. Where do these people grow?

    Last interviewee when asked if they were connected at all to the hurricane relief effort said that of course “it’s opened up the dialogue on global warming, renewable energy…” I’m sure dialogue is comfort to those in NYC without power, heat, water or food.

    Eat that NYC

    @finai–

    Comments like that one in the video make me question my rejection of evolution. Because libs’ brains certainly seem to be DEvolving all the time.
