This cartoon is all over my Facebook page- thumbed up and shared by Smuglies (my new word for lefty leaners) everywhere. Do I dive into the argument and lose more friends-that “hello” THIS IS the normal role of government-to protect and assist it’s citizens during times of duress-be that war or a natural disaster. The government,however, should have no role in choosing my light bulb, flush toilet, calorie intake or health insurance.

But there is nothing you can do with them. Nothing. I have many such folks among my acquaintances. Nothing you can say will change their minds. Liberalism is their religion. You can not talk someone out of religious beliefs. They have to have some shocking revelation on their own- something that leaves them feeling lost, abandoned, and foolish for believing in falsehoods. Unfortunately, liberals are wedded to the Lie.

That’s not FEMA. That is the Coast Guard. FEMA is three days away and then of very little help.

I agree. I believe any extraction is done by National Guard, local emergency crews, or coast guard. FEMA’s role is only to provide coordination, management, information and some supplies to other organizations. FEMA doesn’t own evactuation helicopters.

That cartoon is a lie. FEMA are not the first or even second responders. They are not there during the emergency, while you are still in danger in your car. That would be the locals.
FEMA administrator Craig Fugate made essentially the same point – “That’s the system. We’re called the federal government, and our job is to support the governors and their teams,” he said, adding, “[the] system is always built upon the federal government supports the states; the states support local government.”
What FEMA does is come in after the fact and (mis)manage the already in progress efforts.
Leftist cant make a point without a lie. Pitiful.

Typically lefty DUMBASSES… can’t tell the difference between FEMA (they bring mobile homes and ice), and the UNITED STATES COAST GUARD (THEY fly helicopters and bear rescue swimmers, to save your stupid asses, when you don’t evacuate flood plains, like your precious GUMMINT TOLD you to do a week earlier!)!

Private charities, local government, and States were handling things before FEMA came along.
