Well I believe Rush is right about a lot of things, but obama doesn’t give one damn about Our Constitution, so why would he not just dummy-up another executive order?
VOTED R&R, praise the Lord and pass the ammo!

Only the U.S. Congress can change a date for federal elections…but who gives a crap (except for the popular vote, and like THAT matters) it’s not as if NY’s or New Jersey’s electoral vote is going to Romney.
Sorry to the conservatives in NY/NJ, but that’s it in a pecan shell.
Why don’t y’all just move down South where we conservatives cover Dixie like the dew.

Delaying the election will work against Barry as more details about Benghazi come to light. It’s simply too dangerous to risk.
However, extending the election – even by a day or two – could have a huge effect, and it wouldn’t constitute a major power grab by the federal government that the GOP could attack easily.
Consider if he asked – yes, asked out of “respect” for State’s Rights – MD, NY, NJ, DE, and PA (the states hardest hit by Sandy) to extend their elections by a day or two to allow everyone to vote. Watch for phrases like “mitigating disenfranchisement” and “unprecedented circumstances”. 4 of those 5 states are >7 points blue so they really don’t matter, but extra voting time in PA – the state with 20 EC votes that is suddenly in play after being considered a democratic lock – would allow the MSM, through publicized exit polls, to energize the liberal base. Plus, it would let GOTV to shift all of their efforts (legal and otherwise) to PA during the extra time, and PA would get national attention as the state that decided the election while the nation held its breath.
Course predictions are hard to make especially about the future. But I could see this happening.

@anon – what would that scenario do to the media predictions? the count from all but those 5 states would be known Wed morning. Suppose R&R won all the tossup states and was over 270?

I’m getting sooo tired of the constant chatter about polls. I’m gong to shut down until Tuesday November 6th. I’ll only watch anything I can find on BENGHAZI-GATE. I hope it bursts open tomorrow.

You and me both Tom. I was watching Fox and kept flipping to “Good Eats” whenever I started to get hot under the collar.
Funny, I forgot to change back to FOX while Alton Brown was making Jello molds.

Obviously, if Romney goes over 270 the first night it’s game over for Barry. If something like this happened the media could withhold the actual poll results, but exit polling could be reported.
I’m just trying to think of ways they could manipulate the election without causing an all out insurrection, and I think PA would willingly do this – either with Barry asking publicly, or from behind the scenes and pretending that it was PA’s idea. There’s a *lot* of unhappy liberals on the eastern seaboard who are grudgingly going to vote for Barry – but if they can use Sandy as an excuse to rationalize not voting, they will – and the administration and the GOTV machine know it. A tactic like this could ensure they get PA’s EC votes without exposing the feds to election fraud charges.

@anon – I do not think the MSM can withold the vote counts. I am pretty sure they are public records and the internet will publish them.

Having a Presidential Election stretched out over more than one day is preposterous. There are reasons for the Eastern Time Zone polls NOT releasing actual numbers before Alaska Time Zone closes their polls. Shifting that to a day, or more, would just give the Left all the time they needed to steal the election ala Franken.
JMHO, you understand.

@The Doktor
Preposterous? More preposterous than delaying the election, which Ann Barnhardt and others are reporting to be in the works? Preposterous like the In Your Face XOs Barry has done for 4 years? Stealing the election ala Franken is the entire point, Docktor. Wake up and smell the coffee.
I’m not saying it will happen – but I’d bet they’re trying to think of a way to implement something to ensure victory without creating a civil war. “The means justify the ends”.

Nov 18th is supposed to be something big with AB and the guys from Mythbusters.
I have tuned out all news outlets, except this one BFH, until Nov 6 at midnight.

@Anonymous – You have either totally mis-read my point or have shit for brains.
Having a Presidential Election over a period of TWO DAYS or more IS preposterous since the likelihood of THEFT of that election increases with every passing day.
Is THAT what you’re disagreeing with? Really?

@Anonymous – BTW, I don’t give a rat’s ass what AB may (or may not) have said. If New York City can announce that they are going to go through with the NYC Marathon this weekend, then they can work their asses off to have an election that is completely planned.
