My brother was with the Old Guard back in the 70s – he’da said something to the effect: “We ain’t sugar – we ain’t gonna melt.”

The photo reminds me when I saw the changing of the guard last year for the first time. Still gives me goosebumps thinking about. God bless our men and women in the military.

My son did a 3-year stint in the 3rd. Got to see him perform some Honor details. These are the same guys (no girls; they are an Infantry regiment)that plant the flags on the graves every Memorial Day.
