Mornin yall.
After Sandy blows thru here there wont be a leaf on a tree left to look at.

It certainly is God’s gift when the leaves are in full color. Where I am we’re heading into God’s slumber when everything is brown, grey and still.

Claudia,
These pictures are by far the finest collection you’ve posted to date. The autumn feel is spectacular!

Thank you Claudia, great choices, as always.
I hope you are feeling well and I hope everyone has a great day.
Cold and frosty here. It has been a pretty fall so far, here in the Ozarks.
I hope all in the East and Northeast are safe from Sandy and the government aftermath over it all.

Hate to tell you this, kids, but as beautiful as that first picture is, it’s fake.
First, those aren’t elk, they are deer, most likely white tails like we have here in Michigan.
Second, there is no way you would see four male deer that close together during the fall unless they were fighting.
Somebody either photoshopped in antlers on the does, or photoshopped in three extra bucks. Actually, it looks like the same buck from four different angles. Check out the antler patterns.

I’m such a sucker for cats. The black one in the leaves is priceless.
Thanks, Claudia! Hope you and everyone at IOTW is having a fine Sunday.

@Aufklarer: maybe they’re just cruisin’ for chicks. Seriously, I think you are correct.
All the pictures are beautiful, but I’m a sucker for a golden retriever.

Beautiful collection, Claudia.
That horse photo could have been taken on the road I used to live on. And many mornings, I’d be awakened by the chattering of wild turkeys out in the yard, standing around the bird feeder.
This time of year, we couldn’t get out of the driveway for bumper to bumper tourists.
As a photographer myself, fall and winter are my favorite seasons.

@Aufklarer
You are probably correct about it being a photoshop of the same deer.
It’s not an elk or a whitetail.
I believe it’s a red deer – native to Europe.
I still like the picture, though.
Thanks Claudia
