@Brian in BC – you are on to something. This is a quote that I copied from another site on the General Ham dismissal and it’s relevance to Benghazi-gate.

“(The) basic principle is that you don’t deploy forces into harm’s way without knowing what’s going on; without having some real-time information about what’s taking place,” Panetta told Pentagon reporters. “And as a result of not having that kind of information, the commander who was on the ground in that area, Gen. Ham, Gen. Dempsey and I felt very strongly that we could not put forces at risk in that situation.”

The information I heard today was that General Ham as head of Africom received the same e-mails the White House received requesting help/support as the attack was taking place. General Ham immediately had a rapid response unit ready and communicated to the Pentagon that he had a unit ready.

General Ham then received the order to stand down. His response was to screw it, he was going to help anyhow. Within 30 seconds to a minute after making the move to respond, his second in command apprehended General Ham and told him that he was now relieved of his command.

The story continues that now General Rodiguez would take General Ham’s place as the head of Africon.

One of the Government QARs that comes out to inspect our parts was in the Air Force aboard a Spectre. He says about exactly what the update says. That Seal wouldn’t have been painting that target unless he had something overhead. He says when there’s an emergency like this assets are automatically put in place and somebody up top would have needed to stop the process. This make sense to me. Somebody needs to pay.

Here you have a situation where two super warriors are defending against 20 fighters. So they are in a desperate situation to begin with. Now in order to paint the target, one of the SEALS had to put down his weapon .. which cut their defensive fire in HALF! There is only one reason he would do such a dangerous thing.

There MUST have been an airborne weapons platform that was ready to engage AND told the SEAL to paint the target. That is the ONLY reason the SEAL would have put down his weapon and picked up a laser. You have to understand, they were barely holding them off with two shooters

I just played a clip of what the AC-130 can do for FreeLady. And then I showed her the headline to this post.

I watched and listened to Fox’s entire broadcast last night, and nobody on those panels said anything about AC-130 Hercules gunships being anywhere in the vicinity of Benghazi. In fact, a retired U. S. Air Force Colonel on one panel said specifically that Hercules gunships were at least two hours flying time away from Benghazi in Italy and in Germany.

My point here is that Brad, lennie and Ann’s other critics don’t know WTF they’re talking about. They’re clueless blowhards and bullshit artists.

(Maybe Brad and lennie suffer from dyslexia and ADD or BWI, blogging while intoxicated. That would explain their bizarre comments. Doktor is just a common, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, garden variety jerk.)

Let’s see if we can agree on some facts. We do know that their were two AC-130 some where close. There were two Drones overhead. I have not heard any reports about any type of helicopters in the immediate area.
Fox News has reported that one of the security detail painted bad guys at least twice. According to the guys at Blackfive, and a contact I have (see above) targets are not painted until somebody from above tells them to paint it.

Cobra gunships in support of an air cavalry type assault by boots on the ground would have provided an effective, surgical strike with a minimal risk of collateral damage in that populated area, the latter of which US forces have been trying to avoid since the outset of those skiemishes in the Middle East. With an AC-130 gunship, they would have blown away innocent civilians in a one mile radius.

With 9/11 approaching, Panetta should have had at least one air cavalry unit and Cobras within striking range to protect each and every U.S. installation in the Middle East. Longtime politiical hack Panetta dropped the ball. As did that incompetent twit, Hillary Clinton, who made no preparations whatsoever to protect our embassies. In fact, she diverted funds for security to pay for a launch of the Chevy Volt in Vienna. True story. Google it and check it out. Congressman Mike Kelly was the whistle blower on that one.

The Russians actually seem to be the sane ones in this situation. The claim is that the Russians wanted to expose the Obama-Muslim Brotherhood-Saudi plot and stop the transfer of weapons to the al-Qaeda backed rebels in Syria. They used Iranian proxies in the Benghazi attack. Panetta “didn’t know what was going on” in the sense that he didn’t know if other Iranian assets were in the area that could attack any rescue force sent in. He was trying to avoid another “Blackhawk Down” scenario, but also didn’t want to expose the covert weapons shipping plot.

Now if you read some of this guy’s other posts, you will see that not everything he says comes to pass. Is this tin foil hat stuff? I don’t know, but it connects a lot of dots for me and explains why certain things occurred. If there is evidence to disprove his narrative, let’s hear it. If not, then let’s get this out.
