    Apparently covert electronic devices. Probably just contains the controls for a device. Could be related to a number of things. Communications, surveillance (as RickeyG wrote), or detonations!

    They could also be used to control something in the demonstration / show / entertainment industries. But if they are actual evidence in a legal case, they’re probably more sinister. Like a teleprompter remote control.
