Check Out What We Are Up Against When the Left Controls the Education System

Home - by - October 24, 2012 - 20:15 America/New_York - 35 Comments

This book should be taken out of whatever curriculum it is in. It is absurd to call someone prejudiced for stating a fact.

g91 says this is from their psychology text book. I would like to talk to the ponytailed professor and have him tell me that I am a racist for caring about the rule of law. If he doesn’t care about the rule of law I will snip off his ponytail and shove it down his throat, you know, just to show him how I can quickly learn to be as flexible about these things as he is.

It’s the liberal mentality. The person who exposes the crime is a worse human being than the person who commits it.

I see nothing wrong with that photograph whatsoever.

Obviously, I am the product of a “dated” educational system. Thank God.

The person that wrote that text book should be bitch slapped, but the person who approved it for the school district should be tarred and feathered.

Prejudiced literally means “to pre-judge” or “to judge without prior knowledge.” When someone enters the country illegally you therefore know, based on this prior knowledge, that they are criminal.

Ironically, in the realm of higher education, we are supposed to be exposed to the rationale of the mind in its ability to think things through to their conclusions, regardless of the outcome, but in the context of this predetermined assumption (the photo), it is clear no thinking is required nor any invitation to challenge what is being presented. Conditioning is usually something expected of you to exercise with your children to help them function as good, reliable and decent citizens in the community they grow up in. They are taught right from wrong. However, when conditioning is taken to the extremes of narrowness and is imposed deliberately in the young minds of our nation’s young adults, leaving no options for debate, it becomes brainwashing. This “subtle” presentation here in this book is as powerful as a vicious mob tearing the limbs off an individual’s body. This is evil–and it’s deceitfully PREJUDICED against the reader. One should question such statements and not take for granted to be true just because it is sociably accepted in our current society. Bully!

Someone needs to find that woman in the picture and see if she gave permission to use her image in a book that, I’m sure, sells for a lot of money.

And if she did, I don’t think she understood that her image would be used in this manner.

Either way, she can sue. Fight fire with fire.

Illegal describes an action, which happens to make you a criminal.

    Pyschology textbook?

    Sounds like a college course.

Hopefully, not alot of public funds for this dribble.

I asked my investor to look into investing into the cash cow of college books sales….I’m mean really, this year the students will be required to buy that years edition for say $127.00 then the next years class will be required to buy the NEW “updated”* version for $138.00 and the poor prior student can’t sell his used book back to the school owned bookstore…great scam.

*the only thing updated is the words changed from “11th edition” to “12th edition” and the reprinting dates.

Bonus points to the sign maker for not writing illegal immigrants, which is a nonsensical term.

We shouldn’t be surprised by this, Marxists did plan to use psychology to subvert our criminal code by labeling everything as illnesses, not criminal behavior or moral failings.

@David – since Native Americans (defined in your context. I am native American; but that’s a different subject) did not have a system of modern jurisprudence, and from tribe to tribe held vastly differing opinions of ‘boundary’, ‘alien’, ‘illegal’ and ‘country’, I don’t think a “native American’s opinion” dovetails much on this subject.

Yes, they were given the royal shaft by the United States, but the fate of conquered indigenous populations throughout history is either assimilated or eliminated. At least the US has tried the former without wholly resorting to the latter.

She doesn’t ‘dislike others,’ she dislikes crime.

I completely understand people wanting to come to America but that doesn’t mean I’m going to condone illegal activity.

If we were living in sane times we would be a beacon of freedom to our neighbors to the south, not as a magnet of illegal immigration, but as a model of the rule of law and civilization that they would insist to the point of revolution of their own country. Their countries are the places that need to change – to limited government and real constitutional republics constituted to protect individual rights.

Because that’s the only way things are going to change.

If any of you have the time (please make the time) get up to speed on the federally-based education Common Core. It makes makes Howard Zinn look positively 1950′s. Each of us have to call this stuff out otherwise the Ayers-trained, educator class will be calling all the shots on our children’s education. For every hour my child has been exposed to this treasonous, soul-killing crap, I’ve had to put in two spent untraining her. Now that she’s in HS she has a pretty good grounding in what is propaganda and what is truth. The problem is she still has to read this crap and study for the test because that’s the material the tests are based upon. It’s as though her education has been wasted and it makes me really mad. One thing though, she has developed really good critical thinking skills, real thinking skills.

Amen to your good work with your daughter, @Abigail.

Unfortunately, too many American parents will not be able to see what is happening, and their children will get only the propaganda–without the vitally important “untraining” necessary to show the difference between truth and lies.

@David & @Chuck — The people that are currently referred to as Native Americans, aren’t. They were the second group of Asians to cross the land bridge over the Bering Sea.

The first group preceded them by over 500 years. They didn’t get as far south as South America but they inhabited much of North America. When the second group showed up, they treated the first group like sub-humans. They murdered them or tortured them or enslaved them or assimilated them. They raped the women and killed the men and children. This first group has been proven through DNA, so this history is true.

Centuries later, the second group claimed the Europeans mistreated them. Right.

That’s why I call no one a native American. I call them American Indians. Though while not technically correct (they are actually Asian) it is better than native American.

The problem I had with the educational system is that while I don’t particularly mind educators presenting the liberal point of view, I wanted my kids to learn how to think critically, which necessarily entails presenting opposing viewpoints. However, and particularly at the college level, too many instructors not only neglected to present any alternative viewpoints, but they actively and adamantly prevented any thinking critical of their own world view.

In my opinion, this is the true perversion of the educational system. It also lessens the impact of the educators, because when someone refuses to listen to an opposing argument, I take it to mean that they are not intelligent enough or their opinions are so indefensible that they must resort to obstruction to make their point.

@Wyatt — In ordinary times I would have wanted my child to go straight into college after HS graduation, but today I am actually encouraging her to go out and work for a year or two. I am hoping that even in a short time after real conservatives take back the congress and WH and someone can pore over the state of the Dept of Ed and tap into support from orgs like David Horowitz’s Freedom Center and other conservative policy centers which are concerned about students’ bill of rights and the freedom to learn and get their (parents’) money worth in education, that conservatives can regain a toehold in education.

@Abigail: I went straight from high school to college, but worked for a year between college and graduate school. I grew up more in that year between college and graduate school than at any other time in my life, and school was more important after spending time in “the real world.”

This is not just my opinion, but the opinion of many of my friends as well – young people are just not as well equipped to handle the real world as older generations. Yes, our current economy sucks, but I do know some young people who hustle like hell and do pretty well – they do what they need to do. The others…well, they are still waiting for their participation trophies.

    How prescient was Orwell!
This, my friends, is newspeak. As a few folks have noted, “prejudice” is pre judging. But prejudice became conflated with “racist” A racist is one who believes that certain characteristics are determined by race. So if you are simply prejudiced, you become by default, a racist. Racist became conflated with “bigot”. A bigot is someone who just plain hates all members of a particular group solely on account of their being members in that group.
So now, being prejudiced is the same as being a racist is the same as being a bigot. Quite a handy way to shut down a discussion, and dismiss as evil anyone who happens to stray from the party narrative.
