‘Bout time the lamestream press tells these stories. How nice of Oprah’s buddy to acknowledge that you can be a nice guy AND rich.

Oprah’s beard’s comment was a shocker. It appears the bloom is off the half/black-half/white rose.

Please don’t make Romney into a god… remember how they idolized Obama in 2008 and look what they (and us) got, thanks to their decisions.

Despite his willingness to “help people,” I don’t see Mitt Romney giving away the treasury like Obama did and does to this day.
Regarding the presentation, is this CBS’ pat on the back prior to inserting the knife? I can’t help but notice that recently,Drudge and even iOTW frequently link CBS news video clips, more than any other source.

so the media which is responsible for “painting the narrative” of him being tooo rich, out of touch, suddenly turns into this?

“Please don’t make Romney into a god…”
I don’t see that.

@Joe — I don’t think anyone is making Romney into a god. Something that occurs to me, though, is how much obama has diminished the office of the president, cheapened it, not just in this country but around the world. Same thing with receiving a Nobel Prize. That used to be a big deal and this year people were laughing out loud at some of the recipients and why they received it.
I have a personal story that I think illustrates Romney’s reluctance to flout his Christian charity and support. One Christmas a family member who I don’t see very often sent us a card that, in a roundabout way, revealed his need for some basic clothing and food for his family. Three days before Christmas I rallied another member to write a big check to cover some items like coats and shoes and my then-10 year old and I traveled to his small town, on the way stopping at a major chain food store and filling up two shopping carts with everything we could find for their Christmas dinner — including a ham and a turkey. We also got gift cards from major retailers. I made the excuse to this family member that we needed to drive down his way for something else and since we were in the area thought we’d stop by for a visit. Needless to say, he was overwhelmed by our generosity and caring, but I printed out some Biblical scripture to share, reminding him and us that nothing we own is really ours and that God blesses us so that we can bless others.
But, sitting around our own Christmas dinner with friends that year, someone spilled the beans on our Santa run and heaped praise on us for being “angels”. It was embarrassing and spoiled the whole thing for me and I was pretty mad at the person for bringing it up. Christians aren’t supposed to strut about their good deeds. First off, it’s our duty to care for those in real need and second, it’s not really a gift from the heart if you take a bow for something God made possible in the first place. So I get Mitt Romney’s reluctance to go around clapping himself on the back for doing what he’s supposed to be doing. Doing so is actually a big no-no according to scripture.

Not only does Obama toot his own horn. He has the MSM brass band to back him up.

Harry Reid is a Mormon and he gives Mormons a bad name. He’s arrogant, nasty, backstabbing. Why the church caters to him is a surprise to me. Usually Mormons don’t talk down on other church members but Harry Reid sure did so to Romney. I think Romney is an honest man while Reid is the devil himself. Put the two side-by-side and you would know which one you can trust.

While I don’t doubt his charitable personal life, I’m still cautious about Mitt Romney because of his big government policies while Governor of Mass.
Maybe he will be different as president. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the Tea Party lead congress will help direct his term.
At the very least, I can see him being “Placeholder-In-Chief”, and keeping Obommunist from destroying the USA until a true constitutional conservative gets in line for the next term.

@Goldenfoxx — I don’t know much of anything about reid’s Mormonism, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he touts his so-called faith in a state where Mormons make up a huge constituency and vote.
He doesn’t behave like a man a Godly man or someone of faith.
