Ouch. This is going to leave a mark on Obama’s frail psyche (via John E.).

A full-page Mitt Romney campaign ad in today’s Cedar Rapids Gazette takes the form of an open letter from 13 Iowans who say they voted for President Barack Obama in 2008 but regret their choice and won’t do so again in 2012.

The letter is phrased as an apology, and lays out a case for why Romney, the Republican nominee is a better choice this time around.

I have a small clan of relatives (academics) in Cedar Rapids who are completely brainwashed and would never have participated in this, sad to say. I’d be proud if they did.

I feel vindicated now that you’ll do the right thing and vote for Romney.

And now you will blow me.

I will gladly welcome every voter that made this mistake 4 years ago to vote for Romney – or at the least for them to stay home this time and not vote for Barry at all.
That being said, I just want to go up to them and say — “See, I told you so. But you were too busy a hopin’ and a changin’.”
It is their fault why we are in the mess that we are in now.

I’m sorry. Apology not accepted. It’s because of braindead nitwits like you that we have been saddled with this miserable amateur. It’s because of you that 23 million Americans cannot find work. It’s because of you that we’re paying over four dollars a gallon for gas. It’s because of you that US soldiers are dying in Afghanistan. It’s because of you that my retirement account has lost a great deal of value, my home has lost value, my income is down nearly $4,100 this year over last year. Apology not accepted, and while we’re at it, get your tubes tied.

Apology accepted. However, being the incisive brilliant political savants that you squishes think you are, I also want a signed commitment for 2016, 2020,2024, saecula saeculorum.

There’s no limelight if you’re not a gifted ‘undecided’, you know? Can you handle that?

Sorry. I have the flu. It’s making me rather unforgiving.

I have to admit everyone, I had high hopes for Obama when he was first sworn into office.

High hopes that four years later he’d be thrown out on his ass.

@Diann, HUZZAH!! I have not been in a forgiving mood since I first started hearing this drivel.

“Oh, we didn’t know what he was REALLY like.”

“Oh, we were fooled into thinking he was going to change the world!”

“He’s the combined reincarnation of Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Ghandi, Mohammed and Jesus.”

I guarantee that they will fall for the next snake oil salesman that comes along and then proceed to apologize when he’s finished ass raping them.
And so on and so on until the end of their miserable lives!

These people are untrustworthy. The next shiny object to come along will again capture their vote. Guaranteed.

F#@k that! We told you and told you, but he was “historic”, and he’s going to “bring Americans together”, be “bipartisan”, be “transparent”, “heal the earth and lower the seas”, blah, blah, blah. YOU were told and told it was snake oil, but you bought it anyway.
Now you’re giving me this “we’re all in the same boat” BS?
    Apology not accepted.
    Too little, too late.

@Drackxman, Their not waking up. They have just seen another object that is more shiny than the previous shiny object. Their problem is that they don’t know why the objects are shiny and they likely don’t care.

Diann, I am not as forgiving of ignorance. They were warned. Some of us searched the web, read, and listened to our gut feelings. They said No Obama 2008. They now say No Obama 2012.

I might accept this apology if Obama loses.

I do give credit for them going public with it and facing the ridicule they deserve for being so stupid.

If they put in writing that they voted for O because they are seriously stupid, then I might forgive them.

But them voting for R time is a good start.
This is bad news for O…He won Iowa in 08 thanks largely to the Yewt vote. Doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen this time. Might explain why he’s spending so much time in Iowa this week.

I’ll laugh if he spends all his time in Iowa, wins it, but loses Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and any other blue state he blew off because he assumed they were dem-safe.
