Very Satisfying Nationals v. Cardinals Game
The Nats came out fast scoring 6 runs early. The Cardinals kept pecking away and pecking away, making it 6-5. The Nats scored an insurance run in the bottom of the 8th making it 7-5. Dick Stockton, the announcer, said it was probably the nail in the coffin.
Uh uh. The Cardinals scored 4 in the top of the ninth and just won 9-7.
I’m glad because I’m sure Obama is a Nats fan.
Remember, everything he touches turns to shit.
Oh, and I don’t like Bryce Harper.

Most of the people that go to Nats games are DC government workers. Frig ‘em!

Hopefully, the Cardinals will take those pansies from San Franfreako out to the woodshed.

I was watching it with my kid until the 5th inning but the week caught up with me and I passed out. I’m sure the margarita didn’t help. GO GIANTS!

That was a satisfying win-I can’t stomach the Nats.

1 – obama can’t even throw a baseball, so I doubt he’s a fan of any team (even the taxpayer funded Nats)…
2 – I couldn’t be happier that the Cards won
3 – the Giants will end the Cardinals season
4 – all the Midwestern homos will then move back to their home states, including Missouri

The Redbirds were down to their last strike 3 times in that game. They are the ultimate clutch team when it comes to the playoffs.

More like Tony Larussa WHO?
Oddly, I could stomach the Cardinals this year. I’ve discovered that what I really didn’t like about them was the vastly overrated horrible (yes, horrible, his teams won in spite of his managerial “skills”)manager Tony Larussa, as well as that mush-mouthed Tim McCarver doing the play by play.
Remove them and I find I’m not rooting against them.
Case in point -
How many times did the coverage go to a shot of Cardinals manager Mike Metheny during the game? Very few.
When Larussa was the manager they went to a shot of him 5 or 6 times an inning, as if he means jack squat to what is going on on the field.
It was annoying, and I won’t be force fed a myth by the media.
It’s like golf coverage that insists on cutting away to Tiger Woods when he’s 12 shots out of the lead.
That makes me root for Woods to fall into a lake.

First a little disclosure. I am and have been citizen of Cardinals Nation my entire life. Instead of using carbon dating, maybe this will give you an idea of just how long. I attended a game in which Sandy Koufax pitched in St. Louis while he was wearing the Brooklyn Dodgers uniform.
Second, a tip of my StL embossed July in St. Louis sweat stained hat to the Nationals and their fans for a outstanding season and series! It was great to interact with the National’s fans who paid themselves and Cardinal Nation the great complement of one day wanting to be looked at as a great baseball town like St.Louis. I share your wish and expect it will happen sooner than later.
Third, BFH, your are welcome to you feelings, even if they are wrong, you are forgiven.(chuckle, chuckle)
And finally, the Yankees have destroyed my dream of a replay of the 1944 World Series by knocking off Baltimore. The “current” home of the former St. Louis Browns. Maybe next year, O’s, maybe next year?

The Cardinals are an organization that just gets it done – year to year, players change but they are always in it. Obungles will claim he’s a White Sox fan – that’s only because Kenya has no baseball teams.
I’m THRILLED Obama can’t put his toothy fucking grin on the campaign trail talking about the Nationals and how he’s “knew” they’d win..

Although he couldn’t remember one player on the team that played in ‘Cominski Field’.
