Ryan to Biden: If You’re Protecting Catholics, Why Are They Suing You?
Paul Ryan had perhaps the question of the night when he challenged pro-abortion Vice President Joe Biden on the issue of the HHS mandate that compels them to pay for abortion-causing drugs.
During the debate, Ryan brought up the controversial mandate that pro-life groups oppose.
“What troubles me more is how this administration has handled all of these issues. Look at what they’re doing through Obamacare with respect to assaulting the religious liberties of this country. They’re infringing upon our first freedom, the freedom of religion, by infringing on Catholic charities, Catholic churches, Catholic hospitals,” he explained. “Our church should not have to sue our federal government to maintain their religious liberties.”
Biden try to explain away the Obama administration’s pro-abortion assault on Catholics, evangelicals and other religious groups and businesses.
“With regard to the assault on the Catholic church, let me make it absolutely clear, no religious institution, Catholic or otherwise, including Catholic Social Services, Georgetown Hospital, Mercy Hospital, any hospital, none has to either refer contraception, none has to pay for contraception, none has to be a vehicle to get contraception in any insurance policy they provide. That is a fact,” Biden falsely claimed.
“Now, I’ve got to take issue with the Catholic church and religious liberty,” Ryan retorted. “Why would they keep — why would they keep suing you? It’s a distinction without a difference.”

Watching and listening to Plugs was driving my blood pressure up, so I went outside and listened on the radio. Saved my voice not yelling profanities at the television and got the lid to my micrometer box sanded.
Didn’t learn all that much, though, what with Joe interrupting every time Ryan got too close for comfort. Biden isn’t so dumb he doesn’t know how to keep the truth from coming out, it’s just his antics were obnoxious.
And Martha Radish was a lousy moderator – obviously favored the Cranky Old Bastid by interrupting Ryan herself, but we all expected that anyway.

Didn’t watch the ‘debate’. I knew it was going to be a joke form the get go. After reading all the comments, looks like I didn’t miss much and it only managed to infuriate most reasonable people.
I am thankful to those who had the fortitude to watch. Now I am reading all the articles and post on Bad Blue, here and other sites to see the magnitude of the joke.
I say all that to say this; Is anyone really surprised at any of this? By this, I mean, the blatant lies, the dodging of issues, the constant interruptions and a bias and subjective moderator?
And what was with all the laughing?
I for the most part have given up on expecting any decent, diplomatic or civilized approach from the democrats and the leftists that support them. I will simply sit and see what happens in a few weeks.
Then, and only then will we know beyond a shadow of doubt, what will need to be done.

I watched the debate. You can be a good Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, etc., but the catch is… my Bible says there will be no liars in heaven. How ya get round that, Joe? You’re closer to eternity than you were last night.

time for the pope to step up and excommunicate biden, pelosi and any other fake catholic who doesn’t understand what it means to be catholic.
still remember after roe v. wade the local priest refusing to give communion to a parishioner who was actively supporting abortion.
it was necessary for her own salvation.
