I remember way back when that kind a shit was fun. GMC has the only true 4 wheel drive you can buy off the lot. The G80 locking dif. Everything else is still two wheel drive. One in the front, and one in the rear.

Brad, I’m glad you like your GM. I’ve had Chevies, GMs, Fords and looked real serious at getting a Dodge last go round. Instead, I bought a new F250 4×4 7.3L diesel. I have posi-tract in back with three wheels always pulling as the front wheels alternate. I have never been stuck in any gumbo, creekbed, snowfield or mountain pass with it. I’ve put it (as a former Mountain and Fishing Guide) in places 99% of people can’t put a Jeep. I’m having it rebuilt from the bumper to the interior light with everything new on it. I’ve had a GM dealer AND a Dodge dealer both tell me to never let go of that 6 spd. truck of mine. You go ahead an enjoy your Jimmie, but my new fleet of pickups for our ranches and farms will be F250s to F450s. My only complaint is that they’re all automactics now, except for Dodge. And I don’t want the paint and chrome pealing off my trucks within three years, so I’ll stay Super Duty. And keep my Land Rover for taking more than two friends fishing at a time high in the Rockies. (Too many turn to sissies in the backend when the sleet and rain start.)
Too bad the guys in the videos didn’t let out more of the air in their tires. But then, it would have been a band with an empty background. Go figure.

I carry a set of tire chains, a 30 foot tow rope, and a come-along, and I go wherever the hell I want to. In a 90s GMC, fully loaded, with a camper on back. And I don’t ever have to take it to a shop for repairs.
But it sucks putting on chains in the mud.
Great video. I was thinking Arlo Guthrie too.

Followed up on Corb Lund and it seems he has quite a few fans.
Downside: NPR is a big booster. Garrison Keillor with a banjo?

Not putting down that 1969 Chevy (see my picture thingy) but yeah, I’ve stuck one of those on wet grass. Great song… those guys have to be from Alberta.
