Steve Wynn On Obama: “I’ll Be Damned If I Want To Have Him Lecture Me”
On the Tuesday broadcast of the nightly Nevada political program “Ralston Reports,” Steve Wynn, CEO of Wynn Resorts sat down with host Jon Ralston to discuss the presidential election.
Wynn, an outspoken critic of President Obama, didn’t hold back in his latest criticism of the incumbent president seeking a second term.
“I’ll be damned if I want to have him lecture me about small business and jobs. I’m a job creator. Guys like me are job creators and we don’t like having a bulls-eye painted on our back,” Wynn said about Obama to Ralston. An excerpt of the interview is below.
WYNN: I’ve created about 250,000 direct and indirect jobs according to the state of Nevada’s measurement. If the number is 250,000, that’s exactly 250,000 more than this president, who I’ll be damned if I want to have him lecture me about small business and jobs. I’m a job creator. Guys like me are job creators and we don’t like having a bulls-eye painted on our back.
The president is trying to put himself between me and my employees. By class warfare, by deprecating and calling a group that makes money ‘billionaires and millionaires who don’t pay their share.’ I gave 120% of my salary and bonus away last year to charities, as I do most years. I can’t stand the idea of being demagogued, that is put down by a president who has never created any jobs and who doesn’t even understand how the economy works.

Romney should include Wynn on a business panel 11-7-2012.

Only the intelligent people will understand what Mr. Wynn said. Liberals will just call him bad, horrible, wicked, and evil for taking more than his fair share of “the public’s money.”
Mr. Wynn, I hope you express your views clearly and often so that your 250,000 employees understand them well enough to retain them by the time they get to the voting booth.

Problem is– most of Wynn’s ¼ mil ewmployees are union! They’re pre-programmed. Harry Reid’s last election is the proof.

@Boobie — You’re correct, as always. It’s how the democrats win. Let the job creators do their work then force liberal-supporting unions on them so the theft-wingers can get elected and tax and demagogue the job creators.

Didn’t this guy contribute to Obama the first time around? Karma’s a bitch, eh, Steve?

Wynn, who has donated to Vice President Joe Biden and a mix of Democratic and Republican candidates in recent years, described himself as “a Democratic businessman” during the call. In 2008, he gave $2,300 to Sen. John McCain, Obama’s Republican opponent. Earlier in the cycle, he maxed out at $4,600 in donations to Biden’s campaign.
“I support Harry Reid,” he said. “I support Democrats and Republicans. And I’m telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the president of the United States. And until he’s gone, everybody’s going to be sitting on their thumbs.”

Here’s an idea. If you own a business and you are not hiring, put a sign up in the window that says, “NOT HIRING, ASK 0BAMA WHY.”

I had a driver for a Linen company that we discontinued doing business with drop by this morning. We talked for a while, turns out this guy used to own a Brokerage/Development company. In the last 3 years he lost his business, house, all of his savings, and is now driving a truck for a Linen company. Guess how he’s voting this year.
