How Could He Have NOT Died of Lou Gehrig’s Disease?
So Lou Gehrig really died of Joe Frazier’s disease? This is all too confusing.
Should Lou Gehrig’s medical records be unsealed? Some lawmakers in Minnesota think so, and they hope to force the Mayo Clinic to do just that, reports the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The state legislator leading the charge says it could resolve an intriguing theory raised in a 2010 study—that Gehrig didn’t have Lou Gehrig’s disease and instead suffered from repetitive brain trauma brought on by concussions in his playing days.

One problem is that Gehrig has no living relatives, and the Mayo Clinic insists the records should remain private as a result, reports AP. Another is that Gehrig was cremated, so the records may not yield any new insights, as opposed to an autopsy. Two dueling quotes:

Oh, FFS!!! Let the man rest in peace.
I didn’t have to read past this:
“The state legislator leading the charge says it could resolve an intriguing theory raised in a 2010 study—that Gehrig didn’t have Lou Gehrig’s disease and instead suffered from repetitive brain trauma brought on by concussions in his playing days.”
This is the “state legislator” that’s behind this:

Wouldn’t she/it just love to ban anything that could cause “concussions”?

Who’s buried in Grant’s Tomb?
If Air Force 1 crashed on the frontier between 2 states, where would you bury the survivors?
So many questions!

His playing days as what? A tackling dummy? A speed bag? A backstop with no catcher?
Unless I miss my guess, Lou Gehrig played 2,130 consecutive games as a First Baseman. How many times did he get hit on the head while in the field? How long do you think he would have lasted in the lineup if he kept flubbing the ball and have it hit him in the head? How many times was he hit in the head while he was at bat? I have no idea what the average is for a major league baseball player, but I do know that only one person (Ray Chapman) ever died from being hit by a pitch. So I’m guessing that number is little to none.
Sounds like some liberal leftwing it wants to go on a fishing expedition to get evidence to pass a law stopping all sports.
Go away, freak.

The Mpls Star and Sickle sucks! I cancelled my subscription years ago. They should study Al Franken’s and Jesse Ventura’s brain if they need something to do…not to mention governor Mark Dayton and Senator Amy Klobochar. What did we do to deserve this?

Yep, a not-so-concealed effort to feminize football via the concussion excuse.

Repetitive brain trauma suffered earlier in his career? Which disabled him at age 37 and progressed to lethality at age 39?! Seriously?! If the diagnosis was erroneous early on, it would have been obvious by the time he died. There was no mistake. And there was no cover-up. And if he has no living heirs, then who the hell cares?

He could have had untreated advanced late stage Lyme Disease too. A LOT of people who were given the death sentence of ALS were later found to actually have been infected with Lyme and co-infections such as Babesia (like I have) and not only did they not die, but after being given antibiotics (and in the case of Babs, anti-malarials) they got completely BETTER!

BTW, left untreated, advanced late stage Lyme and other co-infections, especially Babesia, completely decimates and does indeed kill people.
Here’s something about how Lyme & other tick diseases are often misdiagnosed as ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and MS:

Which of course causes people to suffer needlessly & even die. Some of the treatments for the above mentioned diseases make the actual tick diseases far worse, which is why it’s important to be sure of what a person truly has before they enter treatment (or resign themselves to progressively deteriorating mentally & physically until dead when they actually COULD reverse the problem).
