the most relevant data to watch for in the polls won’t be “voting intentions” — but “favorability ratings.”

If likely voters see Obama less favorably, and Romney gains in favorability, that could signal a shift to come in voting intentions.

Favorability ratings always change before voting intentions.

Dem talking points are already hitting the airwaves. Joe Klein, the man who would give a lewinski to Obama on national tv if he had the chance, said Obama lost because he’s the president and doesn’t have time to prep for a debate.

Best excuse by devout Kos Obot:

I still think Obama suffered from the altitude. (7+ / 0-)

He just flew into Denver this afternoon; Mitt has been there a while. Debates should never be held at 5000 feet when a candidate will not have time to acclimate.

You know theses debates are just going to get better and better.

Next up Ryan v Biden Oct 11.

And the last debate will be on foreign policy. You think Obama took a thrashing last night, wait till his incompetence in foreign policy is fully exposed. Who knows by that time how many more damaging revelations about Lybia, Egypt, Afganistan, Iran, Fast and Furious and failures yet to blow up abroad will come to light by then?

Its pay back time for jamming Stimulus, GM bailout, green energy and especially Obamacare down our throats. Lefties your going to take it and you’re going to like it when your beating comes.

What a butt kicking that was indeed. I think that boo has read Romney’s bio and was to ashamed of everything he has said to even look him in the eye. He knew that there was no way he could attack Romney’s character without sounding like a fool. That was as poor of a major debate performance as I have ever seen. Why to go Mitt. Oh yea, the after debate pictures of mo and boo are great.

Those stupid New Coalition Democrats. They’ve lost their party for a generation and all because they stupidly thought The Magic Negro (Not my term, see: Hollywood legacy of The Magic Negro) was talented enough to hold everyone in his spell for 8 long years. Since the numbers don’t add up to a legitimate win for the Left, it could only come through corruption — from pollsters, media, voter fraud, union and “green” industry graft, and bald-faced lies. I’ve never been prouder to be an American than I am today. Today I understand what it means more than ever.

Nobody likes a loser. Oh, the left exploits losers and lives off of their carcasses, but they don’t really like them. And candidates that look like losers don’t win elections.

This is why Reagan did so well in his campaigns (against the two drips Carter and Mondale)and stupid old ‘W (according to the media) beat the likes of Gore and Kerry.

Clinton looked and acted like a winner when compared to Bush 41 and Bob “I always refer to myself in the 3rd person” Dole. Obama ’08 pulled off a campaign of fluff and empty promises that looked robust and hearty in comparision to Juan McLame.

Now its Obama ’12 time to have the score run up against him with no mercy rule despite the pleas from his enablers in the MSM. And Romney showed last night he’s just the guy to do it.

After a while Mitt quit kicking him in the arse and went for the nuts! Does ZeroCare cover that? Most likely, the review panelists will say Bari’s too far gone and we’re not going to spend the resources to save him. “Take a pain pill, Zero.”

One unbiased (liberal) talking point I heard was that Romney’s personality and charisma didn’t come thru which could hurt him.

    What?!?!

Are they expecting a cheesy pop star like Obama who blows off a head of state to go on Letterman?

What happened to dignity, holding leaders to higher standards and being taken seriously? While a leader is holding office his focus is on the domestic and foreign policies he was entrusted with to lead. I can’t imagine Netanyahu appearing on an Israeli game show or Angela Merkel cracking jokes on a late night talk show after a German Metal Band’s set.

Obama is embarrassing as a leader and is better suited to be a perpetual talk show guest or making cameo’s on the WB shows.
