The Narrative —- CHICAGO CHOKE
When the U.S. loses today, because of a Tiger choke, they are going to make great pains to say that the Cup loss wasn’t on Tiger. But, he will be o-4 in this year’s Ryder Cup and he ASKED to be the anchor man.
Update: It looks like Steve Stricker is going to let Tiger off the hook. NEVER chip when you can putt.
Update2: Tiger did not choke on 17. He did his part. Tiger might not get to 18 with anything on the line.
Update3 : Steve Stricker needs a birdie, or the Cup is retained by Europe. America needed a collective Heimlich maneuver.
Update4: Stricker has to hole a 40 foot putt.
UPDATE5:
COMPLETE COLLAPSE AMERICA SNATCHES DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY
UPDATE6:
It’s not over… yet. Europe’s Kymer couldn’t lag it to ice it. Pressure’s on.
UPDATE7: Stricker makes!!!!!!!! Kymer has a 6 footer to win, or else it WILL come down to Tiger!
A German missed a famous 6 footer to lose the Ryder cup – Bernhard Langer.
UPDATE8- Kymer is no Langer.
EUROPE WINS!

By the way, Zack Johnson and Jason Dufner are the only reason America was even in this Ryder Cup.

I look at this as an Obama loss, yes.
He is King Dumbass – everything he touches turns to shit.
That’s why the Bears have sucked since Obama’s been in.

At least golf isn’t really a sport. Go Niners!

I’m pretty sure golf’s a sport.
It was a considered a sport before, or just as long as, baseball, basketball, hockey and football started in this country. What happened to have it redefined?

Next year lets send the LPGA. Our men seem to be a little mentally weak. Specially Cheeta Woods. Mark Sanchez suffers the same issues. He keeps hearing foot steps.

Well the taxpayers got a break and won’t have to see the photo-op that he would have taken advantage of! Endless pics of him in gear and watching the match!

Yesterday I was rooting for the Europeans late in the afternoon because I like a good competition.
But I didn’t want this.
FAIL LIST:
Steve Stricker
Tiger Woods
and Jim Furyk who CANNOT make a clutch put to save his life.
And yes, lets hang this additional failure on Obama!!!

I am a big fan of Phil Mickelson, he did his job the first two days. Today Justin Rose made two incredible puts on 17 & 18 to win his match.
Phil barely missed his.
Fact is, if Tiger had done shit the first two days this would have been out of reach for the Euros.
I hate being in the position of rooting for Woods.
He is such a selfish player anyway, not good for team competition.
And Furyk, he could have won a major this year if he could clutch put. Should have whipped Sergios butt!

Fur – Golf is a game, not a sport. And it is older than baseball, American football, basketball. But, then so is Nancy Pelousi.
The Scots invented golf, as a means to get their kilts down and their ‘brains’ off the sheep. They also invented Haggis and the bagpipes. ‘Nuff said.

Were the golf instructors on strike also?

A friend of mine in Chicago on facebook said, they gave the American team honorary White Sox jerseys on the way out of town. Thanks Eddie V.

BirdieBailey How many Johnsons does it take for US to win #RyderCup? Apparently more than 2 (Dustin and Zach), who scored 2 of only 3 full points Sunday

Well it could be worse. When the Europe Team gets home the European Central Bank will take and melt down the trophy to fetch a few more euros to give to Greece no wait, give to Portugal, no I meant Spain or maybe Ireland…. or France. Damn, I’m there’s so many to choose from.

This loss was a perfect example of what’s wrong with the U.S. – symbolism over substance. “On paper” it looked great for the U.S. team – we should have won – on paper. We had the loud, rowdy crowds that “looked great and sounded great” but we faced a team with a substantive goal – win for Seve. Substance wins every time. Until we get over feeling good about ourselves because of how things look and start celebrating success based on accomplishment and true value – we’ll continued to get our butts handed to us. Here it was a game – the same is happening every day in domestic and foreign policy, economic growth, healthcare, entitlement reform, etc. We celebrate what “looks good” and criticize true, meaningful success. We’ll never win again – at anything important – until this changes.

Truer words seldom spoken.
I sat there all afternoon, disquieted.
America vs Europe?
The world’s best governance invention against a rag-tag regional alliance?
And yet, we came up short.
The USA is sorely lacking a sense of self these days!
And Tiger might be the perfect spokesman for this past weekend…used to be richer, used to be respected, blew it all on the whores and the high rolling and the delusions of grandeur, and now…well, now he doesn’t really know why he’s there anymore, and cant for the life of him figure out either where the magic came from or, more importantly, how the hell to get it back.

chiefillinicake, It fucking golf, and our guys are so soft it’s not funny. Have you seen what they play on in Europe. It’s my back freaken yard. Tune in for Freestyle Wrestling or boxing. Let’s see how Europe does then. Our guys are prima donas. Although I always route for Furyk. Not sure why but I like the dude. Yeah I know he choked too. Too damn much money, too soft.

Chief, Here’s what my inebriated worthless ass has to tell you. Contact sport Athletes process a much greater mental focus and capacity for focus, because when the mind screws up the body says what the fxxk. That hurt, don’t do that again bitch or I’ll just shut down on your ass.
This defeat is huge, and it represents the complacency that should not exist in this country. I had a crew in Saturday and Sunday. Got a big contract, time is money. Off the floor and out the door bitch’s.

Those of you who say golf is not a sport have obviously never played it. I gut-checked for over 2 hours, I suppose just like the Europeans did in 1999 when we came back from the exact same defecit.
The EU deserves to be partying…….dammit.
