Obama Poll Surge Doesn’t Jive With Democrats’ Registration Decline

Many Republicans are not buying the numbers produced by national polls in the last few weeks that show President Obama padding his lead over Mitt Romney. Some of this sentiment can be put down to wishful thinking by conservatives who can’t fathom why so many Americans want to re-elect Obama. It is only human nature that we tend to think polls that verify our views of the way things should be are credible while dismissing those that contradict as bogus. Indeed, with the president taking the lead in so many national as well as swing state polls recently it is difficult to argue that the race hasn’t shifted in his direction. However, there are those, such as former Bill Clinton advisor/pollster and current pundit Dick Morris, who have consistently argued that the polls are wrong because their turnout model is incorrect. Morris believes that all of their numbers reflect a belief that the Democrats will be able to match their historic turnout they achieved in 2008, something he argues is not remotely likely to happen.

If there weren’t so many chinks in the obama armor he would have a chance, but I firmly believe what I’ve been saying for nearly a year now – the religious fervor is gone, the lefties will NOT turn out. They won’t vote for Romney, but they also won’t vote for the “messiah” a 2nd time.

Also, since the fervor is gone, the fraud and “get out the vote” crap won’t succeed, too many holes in the dike.

Also, secondarily, the democratic party is screwed.

I’m with Bob – the drones just aren’t jazzed up, at all this year.

As for the polls, I quit paying much attention to them years ago. They only try to get themselves accurate a few weeks before the election. Up until then, they’re simply a device to push the narrative.

When I need cheering up I go to Unskewedpolls.com.

Let’s do this. All states going bankrupt at this time only get 50% of their electoral votes.

    It only seems FAIR.

Fairness seems to be the meme nowadays.

On September 11 and 12, Democrats were being oversampled by 3 percent. Two days later they were being oversampled by 4 percent. A week later by 5 percent. By September 23rd, they were being oversampled by 6 percent. By the 26th they were being oversampled by 9 percent.

As a result of all that, Obama’s lead increased from 5 percent during a 3 percent oversampling to 9 percent during a 9 percent oversampling, suggesting that NOT ONLY WAS OBAMA NOT GAINING, but that he was actually FALLING BEHIND.

Since I got my ObamaPhone, I now think Obama should continue presidentin’ and therefore I will vote him at least three times. And if he upgrades my plan and gives me more free stuff, I will at least triple that number – perhaps even to… uh, uh, uh… five votes.

Ever wonder why it is only the Democrats that complain about voter i.d. laws? This is why – suckas.

Don’t underestimate the “traditional” Donk techniques to “get out the vote” such as dragging whinos and 0bamaphone people to the polls. Even if they only vote once, they will drag every indigent to a voting booth, then they’ll go to the bars for the alcoholics, then the housing projects and so on.
