Moonbattery

No moonbat, no matter how stuffed to the gills with B.S., can justify this racist insanity:

The Oakland school board on Thursday night unanimously approved an agreement with the Office for Civil Rights to reduce the number of out-of-school suspensions of its African-American students. …

Chris Chatmon, director of the district’s African American Male Achievement initiative … said that while African-American students made up 32 percent of [Oakland Unified School District]‘s enrollment during the last school year, they received 63 percent of all suspensions.

Blacks are their own worst enimies aided & abetted by liberal white trash…think of it
    no education, no job
unable to speak english, no job
    no dress code, no job
And the black unemployment is double whites, wonder why.

…while African-American students made up 32 percent of OUSD’s enrollment during the last school year, they received 63 percent of all suspensions.

So reducing the number of suspensions of those that commit suspendable offences will reduce the number of overall suspensions. Because that solves the underlying problem too. Right?

…the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights began to investigate whether the school district treated black students more harshly than white students.

Wanna bet the “investigators” were charged with WHY the district treated blacks differently not WHETHER they were treated differently?

…wanted “to put our resources toward a project that could result in real change.”

Yeah, they’re hopin’ for some changin’.

    The five-year plan…

    Nothing communistic there.

…which builds on ongoing programs such as restorative justice

What the hell does that mean? Just another socialist buzzword like social justice.

…a number of people urged the board to improve the quality of teaching and curriculum in its schools…

Voices of sanity? In California? IN OAKLAND?

The plan would emphasize a reduction in defiance-related suspensions…

Because no student would ever learn that if another student was defiant toward a teacher that they could be too without repercussions.

…civil rights advocates argue that “defiance,” as grounds for suspension, is poorly defined

    de·fi·ance [dih-fahy-uhns] noun

1 — a daring or bold resistance to authority.
    2 — open disregard; contempt

Yeah, it’s so hard for a SCHOOL DISTRICT to LOOK UP THE DEFINITION A WORD! I guess they burned all their dictionaries when they decided to use ebonics about 15 years ago.

…44 percent of the school system’s black males who received suspensions in 2010-11 were suspended solely for defying authority.

So reducing the number of suspensions will reduce the defiance. Got it. And apologizing to the muzloids has them pacified.

One mother said her son, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound sophomore at Castlemont High School, tends to speak out when he feels wronged. “Him speaking out is intimidating to his teachers,” she said.

Ya think! His name isn’t Trayvon, is it?

The district might be revisiting the same issues they have in the past, but, she said, it is “spiraling upward.”

When toilets flush, they spiral downwards dear.

I thought that when Jerry Brown was mayor of Oakland, he fixed all these problems. Isn’t that why we elected him Governor?

@serfer62… they are enslaved on the liberal entitlement plantation, kept perpetucally undereducated and beholden. The welfare state is one of the cruelest things that can be inflicted on a society. It rips it apart at the very foundation, the family, then everyone suffers the ill effects.

And on the East Coast, the NAACP wants the Dept. of Education to investigate possible wrongdoing against blacks and Hispanics who can’t get in the top ten in NYC’s high schools, which happen to be predominately white, Jewish, and Asian. A two and a half hour entrance exam at one HS is under scrutiny, with the NAACP saying smart blacks fail the test but should be let in anyway, cause they’re smart. Right. Well, Old Bloomberg, the soda pop mayor, surprises with his comment:

“It’s strictly on merit, and it’s one of the bright lights in our school system. There’s nothing subjective about this. You pass the test with the higher score, you get into the school, no matter what your ethnicity, no matter what your economic background.” He’s right of course.

Here’s one news item about the matter: http://gothamist.com/2012/09/28/bloomberg_on_stuy_racist_test_life.php

There’s more news of course, but this will do.

From one end of the country to the other, they want their cake and eat it too: to act like animals in their ghetto schools, causing trouble and beating people up, and expect to be treated like geniuses and saints in the best of the best schools. What a joke.

“When he feels wronged.” Another participation trophy winner. And the odds are his entire demeanor and excellent command of profanity laced invective is just ‘his culture’. BTDT, broken up the fist fights..

Now when most of the students are black or hispanic and the suspension rates that are pretty high – like the area I work, I wonder what the defense could possibly be.

On the other hand if the black students aren’t suspended (and presuming they stay in the school) then the street crime statistics may go down. Just sayin…
