Serial Liar Warns Mitt Romney About Upcoming Debate: Facts Will Matter

David Axelrod and “facts” are like Donald Trump and Rosie O’Donnell — they just don’t get along. That’s why it’s so funny that Greasy Axel is telling Romney he’s going to be challenged on the facts at the debate next Wednesday:

The Obama campaign on Friday previewed their plan to hammer Mitt Romney on “facts” during the upcoming presidential debates, at the same time raising the stakes for the GOP nominee’s performance in the first debate Oct. 3.

In a memo that sets out attack strategy heading into the debates, President Obama’s senior adviser, David Axlerod, wrote that “facts will matter” in the debates, suggesting Romney might not be up to the task of getting specific about policy.

“If he doesn’t,” Axelrod wrote, “he will leave the debate no stronger than he arrives.

Axelrod listed reasons why the debate is slanted in Romney’s favor in the memo:

[D]ebates — and particularly the first debate — generally favor challengers. Five out of the last six challengers were perceived to win the first debate against an incumbent president. Most profit from having debated throughout the primary season, as Gov. Romney will. And it is natural for a challenger to gain simply from standing on the stage, toe-to-toe with the incumbent. Finally, the challenger, unencumbered by the responsibilities of being the President, has more time to prepare — a benefit of which Gov. Romney has taken full advantage.

This is rich: “the challenger, unencumbered by the responsibilities of being the President, has more time to prepare”

That’s true… when you’re the challenger, you don’t have to go to intel briefings all the time, whereas the president’s time is consumed by… wait, nevermind.

These are exercises in futility. The MSM has already decided who is going to win these debates. The only question remaining is what Romney presents and how they are going to slant it in Obama’s favor.
    Games and circuses.

Fact: Obama is a dismal failure
Fact: Obama has empowered our enemies, and alienated our allies.
Fact: Obama has plunged us so deeply into debt that most people will not live long enough to see it paid off.
Fact: Obama has helped turn the middle east into a stronghold for the muslim brotherhood.
Fact: Obama has lost the war in Afghanistan.
Fact: Obama has lost the war in Iraq.

oh, shit- I’m tired of this already.

What do ‘facts’ have to do with anything?

The socialists are relying on ignorance, lies, and fraud.

“suggesting Romney might not be up to the task of getting specific about policy.”

Frankly, I would expect the sitting President of the United States to be “specific about policy” since he is the one in actually in charge of that policy at the present time. But no one has seen any such specifics in the last three and one-half years or so, and I don’t expect Obama to change tactics in a 90 minute debate.

Unless “uh, uh, err, uh” or whether or not a drive or three wood should be used off of the tee qualifies as specific policy.

Romney has the kind of mind that retains and catalogues tons of facts. As usual, Camp Mediocrity-at-Best is projecting. O-Stumbles, off teleprompter, is easily agitated and predictably gaff-prone and it’s because he doesn’t keep a dual perspective in his mind at the same time. I’m not sure he even knows the macro view because he’s been so focused on his own ideology for so many years, his infrequent nods to Founding principles usually come off as completely disingenuous/phony. O-Feckless will make Romney’s case that he’s neither agile nor particularly smart. And that’s why O-Hole will only debate Romney with Dead Media propping him up.

All the same, keep praying. God may have one of the best shows yet in store for us. Keep smiling.

Cap’n Combover & Co. must really expect a shellacking if they’re already making excuses for The Won — even though the whole debate series will be moderated by and coached by his best buds in the media, Soros employees.

My wife says that if Mittens just laughs at BO (at appropriate times) it will so piss him (BO) off, that he may just cry or become so angry he sputters.

BO and his ilk just CANNOT stand to be the butt of humor.

Remember when Reagan said “There you go again!”

Mittens should say something to the effect: “What, you’re gonna blame Bush for the earthquake in Haiti?” and laugh like Hell, shaking his head, as when a child tells a stupid lie.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have at least one situation in which the candidates can really be themselves? I love the idea of Romney laughing at him. My reverie is that Mitt so loses it in laughter that he has a real gut laugh so hard that the moderator(s) have uncontrollable giggles — everyone ends by wiping their eyes and trying to catch their breath. Even the preezy laughs at his own ridiculousness. The “debate” is a total write-off because the moderator(s) can’t seem to collect themselves even after the break.

    A girl can dream.

Almost funny. He’s been cancelling defense projects left a and right, plans on slashing the defense budget in half, and then has the balls to ask the contractors not to lay anyone off until after the election. This guys a major POS>

The difficult thing for Romney is to be well versed in both the real truth and the re-branded truth (lies) that the Obama people spew so easily and the MSM accepts as absolute iron clad truth.

These two sets of “truths” never agree however, since the whole point of Democratic rebranded truth is to misdirect, cover up and bury the many mistakes, blunders and criminal actions this administration has committed over the last 4 years.

Of course the minute Romney chooses to use the real truth the MSM is going to climb all over him and label him what ever they can to reduce his stature. But to use the Democrat truth is going to put Romney at a disadvantage and protect Obumbles from his actual record.

Its going to be up to alterntive media to counter the MSM syncopathic knee jerk spin on the debates and of course commentors to lend what help we can.

I’ve read several articles along these lines.
They’re trying to set expectations very low for the Won, with all these excuses as to why Romney will have the advantage.

It’s bullshit, of course. And “facts”???
Since when have they needed any steenking “facts”??

If the debate , as Axe says, is about facts; Romney will kill him on facts and the truth about Boo’s so called facts. You know, I have never seen a bigger bunch of losers in my life. They are already setting up the spin for the main stream media to report on. I hope that Mitt pisses him off so bad that the whole world sees the real obama.

My advice to Mitt would be to bring his own food and bottled water and have it closely guarded. And don’t let anybody touch you on the skin.

I still have suspicions about what happened to Rick Perry at the debates.
