Mugged

Home - by - September 24, 2012 - 21:45 America/New_York - 17 Comments

“The true history of the Democrats and black Americans is one Democrats should be ashamed of,” Coulter told The Daily Caller, discussing her new book, “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery From the Seventies to Obama,” to be released Tuesday.

“It has been the Republican Party from the beginning, and to this day [they] are the only ones that treated blacks both as human beings and as adults, with Republicans constantly pushing for civil rights and Democrats flipping only when it became politically — or let me say, electorally — advantageous for them to do so.”

“I tell the true history of civil rights,” she said.

Hers is a history where Republicans fought for civil rights and Democrats were often an obstacle to it. “Not all Democrats were segregationists,” Coulter writes, “but all segregationists were Democrats.”

See, here, HERE, is where we FAIL, MISERABLY, where Bush failed, as he never cared enough about the process to explain himself, not for HIS benefit, but OURS, and where we all remember, the “honorable (i.e., Moderate, “Man of the Senate”, one John McCain, lost the piss in his fight and pissed his fucking leg…

WHERE, for the Love of GOD and COUNTRY, are the Republicans standing up and proclaiming from the ROOFTOPS the HISTORIC success of our brand? WHERE? WHERE???

Where’s Romney? Are you telling me that the man is so rhetorically limited that he can’t express a full-throated appreciation of George Bush’s obvious LOVE of this country and HONOR and vigilance in her defense, while also suggesting, not disrespectfully, but effectively, that his own fiscal policies aren’t Bushian, but ROMNIAN, so cut the fucking “policies of the past” shit? Canard much, Obamites?

Am I crazy? Why can I do it (lonely Indian blogging baked-good that I am) and THEY SEEM SO FUCKING CLUELESS and INEFFECTIVE?

I find it interesting that the only founding father Democrats condemn for owning slaves was Thomas Jefferson – the same guy they claim founded the Democrat party.

The only reason there is racism in America is because of the Democrat party.

    Eliminate Democrats….end racism.

    Badly Bradly

My thought is that the Tea Party, as a physical manifestation of civic displeasure, existed as a forum of whiteys like we sporting three-cornered hats for a certain period of time, but subsided at the point that we were painted as racists (and worse)when there was none of that on display.

Just like when happens when you remind typical whiteys (me included) that we can’t dance, especially when there are blacks at our hoe-down, we collectively pulled it in and instead opted to go viral with our pals on emails and Blogs and such.

Thew Tea Party has become a virus…it’s WAAAAYYYY bigger than a rally or a “don’t tread on me” shirt.

    It’s an IDEA…like AMERICA ITSELF!!!!

Maybe. But I would think it’s time to get their collective asses out in front of the groceries stores like I was seeing most of the summer. At least locally they have a terrible sense of timing or are completely disengaged.
I think, I know, we both agree right now is the shit. Which way is this country going, Socialism or Free Market.

    We’re going Socialist, no doubt.

The “Tea Party” is still there, but beaten back a little by how cancerous the problem is and the fact the GOP took over the election.

Mitt was never my choice, but he is today, because he is the lesser of two evils.

    Here’s a joke…

A liberal, a moderate and a conservative walk into a bar. The bartender says; “What will it be tonight, Mitt?”

old_oaks: Heard the joke. Jokes are over. We have a few weeks to settle this battle. It fing time to get over what ever you got to get over and get out there, and if you have a platform to speak from you better start screaming. My wife and I are showing up at the next Tea Party meeting next week and asking WTF. I’m kind of pissed about this whole thing. It’s got a real juvenile feel to it, like oh I didn’t get my way then I’m taking my toys and not gonna play. Let’s see how that strategy works out four years from now.

Bad Brad — I’m active in my local patriot group and I know others who are as well. What exactly is it that YOU want OTHERS to do?

The time for rallies and marches is over. All the TEA folks I know are taking over their local Repub parties and turning them conservative. And while Romney wasn’t the TEA choice, all the members I know are working phone banks, signing up to be poll workers/watchers, going door to door and placing yard signs and 8 x 4 signs for “the lesser of two evils” all over our county.

Nov. 6 is the next hurdle. The TEA Party knows what the score will be following the election, whether we win or lose.

Further, I can tell you as one of the original 9/12ers, I am tired. I am dead tired. I’m sick of pulling the load of a group that boasts 300+ members but has the same 12 to 20 come out for meetings, strategy sessions and events, but I’m not a sunshine patriot or summer soldier. I’ll continue on, counting on the results of 11/6 to renew my enthusiasm and reinvigorate my efforts.

If you don’t like how something is being done (or not, in your view), do it yourself, ’cause I’m doing all I can.

    @bitterclinger
Nobody is going to do much by them selves. And I take offense to the insinuation that I want somebody to do something for me I’m not willing to do myself. The Tea Party has an infrastructure in place. I, nor does any individual have that. What I want is for them to be as vocal as they have been in the past. It’s do or die time. Give me an honest answer, where’s the fire and the enthusiasm?
