Anti-Muslim???

Home - by - September 22, 2012 - 23:00 America/New_York - 18 Comments

The Christian Science Monitor is calling the Geller/Spencer ads, that are hitting the NYC subways on Monday, anti-Muslim.

The ad is plainly talking about Islamic jihadists who interpret jihad as “Holy War.” These are the people who have vowed to wipe Israel off the map. Why would a peaceful Muslim  have a problem with this ad? Are they offended when murderous Muslims are blasphemed?

If the shoe fits, why do we give a crap?

A note to vandals – we ordered lots of overages. Oh, and vandalism isn’t too civil, is it?

With the Muslim world still roiled by a YouTube video denigrating Islam that was made in California, an ad that some groups consider anti-Muslim will appear in 10 of New York’s subway stations starting on Monday.

“In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad,” reads the ad, which is being paid for by two groups, the American Freedom Defense Initiative and Stop the Islamization of America, both of which have a distinctly anti-Muslim bent.

The Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center consider Stop Islamization of America to be a hate group.

One of the people involved with placing the ad is Pamela Geller, a co-founder of the two groups who was also behind the effort in 2010 to halt the construction of an Islamic community center near Ground Zero in lower Manhattan. She says there are plans to run the ad in several other US cities once there is funding, and on Thursday the sponsors filed suit to have it run in the nation’s capital as well.

You’ll also want to note that somewhere along the way, The First Church of Christ, Scientist has been hijacked.

This politicization of Christian Science was not the intention of its Founder, Mary Baker Eddy.

I have no dog in this fight, just a deep knowledge of the CS Faith.

Obviously, one reason the CS Church (HQ’d in Boston) has become a Liberal ass-kissing Obamabot is THEY DON’T WANT TO LOSE THEIR TAX-FREE STATUS.

If they can support Islamic terrorism, there’s nothing Christian left in Christian Science.

Christian Science eschews the practice of medicine, so ObamaCare means squat to these folks. Wait…

Could they be kissing Obama’s ass to get an ObamaCare waiver?

    Three guesses…

I’m 71 and I’m still learning. What these media idiots have taught me is that I could not be happier being a “hatefilled”, “racist”,
“ignorant”, “phobic” old white guy on so many levels. I just hope Mrs. enraged and I live long enough to see these fifth column swine begin to pay with their blood and treasure for their many betrayals of the country and the Constitution that nurtures them.

I hope the effect of this campaign will not only make others consider what’s at stake for Israel, but also put the spotlight on the sovereignty of the Jewish people to live their lives with the same liberty and expectations as any other race of people on this planet. God Bless Israel. My prayers are for the Jewish people and for Pamela Geller, a woman with the resolve and courage of Samson.

A little background: Koh first came to prominence during his confirmation hearings. “Koh thinks we should bow to foreign rules and court decisions, and to United Nations treaties whether or not we have ratified them,” wrote Phyllis Schlafly in the lead-up to his confirmation. John Fonte wrote for National Review Online that the judicial philosophy Koh espoused, transnationalism, was “generally . . . not democratic.”

Why the fuss? Koh’s critics consider transnationalism — the idea that international law should inform how judges interpret American law (for instance, what “cruel and unusual” means), and that policymakers should in some cases craft laws to conform with international “norms” — a threat to American sovereignty, constitutionalism, and the rule of law. Koh is a devoted proponent of this agenda; he wrote that “one prominent feature of a globalizing world is the emergence of a transnational law, particularly in the area of human rights, that merges the national and the international.” Essentially, Koh argued that the human-rights laws of individual nations should reflect the international consensus of all upstanding nations.
    [...]
    “On American Exceptionalism,” he argued:

Admittedly, in a globalizing world, our exceptional free speech tradition can cause problems abroad, as, for example, may occur when hate speech is disseminated over the Internet. In my view, however, our Supreme Court can moderate these conflicts by applying more consistently the transnationalist approach to judicial interpretation.

    [...]
“Transnational law may sometimes trump the established interpretation of the First Amendment,” Taylor wrote. “This is the clear meaning of Koh’s writings, although he implied otherwise during his Senate confirmation hearing.”

And that new interpretation would probably condone the questioning of filmmakers who offend the religious feelings of others.

“Certainly there’s a clear connection between Koh’s desire to use international law as a vehicle for limiting the First Amendment rights of Americans and this recent action,” says Ed Whelan, president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, referring to Nakoula’s questioning. He added that it’s hard to say whether Koh has influenced the State Department’s transnationalist bent or just fit nicely into its preexisting milieu.

Either way, “Harold Koh is not an aberration,” Whelan tells National Review Online. “His views are very commonplace on the left, in part because he’s a leader and in part because that’s the environment that he swims in. I don’t see it as surprising that a State Department that would have him as a legal adviser is not interested in a robust protection of First Amendment rights.”

It’s another degree of white guilt being put into play. We aren’t allowed to believe that a political movement disguised as a religion can have within it a group of deeply committed fanatics that want to rule the world with a middle ages barbarity (but with them on the top) because most of the adherents of this movement are not white. As stupid as this sounds if one points out the rampant cruelty of Islam along with it’s contradictions you’re painted as a racist. This is pretty well the same race card that the progs constantley drop.
