A major report released Wednesday on the Operation Fast and Furious scandal faulted a range of federal agencies for the failed anti-gunrunning program — and has resulted in the resignation of one Justice Department official.

Jason Weinstein, the deputy assistant attorney general for the Criminal Division, is resigning in the wake of the Justice Department inspector general report on Fast and Furious. The report essentially concludes that he is the most senior department official who was in a position to stop Fast and Furious.

The nearly 500-page report was completed after investigators reviewed 100,000 documents and interviewed 130 people.

The reports also says that no one responsible for the case at ATF Phoenix or the U.S. Attorney’s Office raised a serious question or concern about the government not taking earlier measures to stop Fast and Furious.

Look, Jason. You fall on your sword, we give you some money and a teaching position at Harvard Law, and both 0bama and Holder are safe. What’s the problem?

    A criminal indictment?

Well, we can’t “fix” everything! And someone does have to take the fall…

Please explain to me why Obama invoked Executive Privelege to seal the records from Congress? To protect Eric Holder from being exposed as the worst US Attorney General in the history of our republic? But we already knew that when he was being confirmed…

They put the load on Weinstein, he takes all the heat and Holder is off the hook.
Holder is 0bama’s sidekick. He’s can’t operate his department of corruption without him, and it might be hard to find a replacement with such skills of corruption. Plus Holder knows too much — what if he spills the beans in federal prison?

Holder is going to have to pay for his crimes sooner or later. 0bama too.

Well, here is the first official sacrificial lamb. Now Holder and Obama will watch to see whether it’s enough to quench the fire. If not, then prepare to see another DOJ drone get tossed under the bus. Then another and another until Obama gets tossed from office and Holder no longer has protection and hass to face the music. Unless Obama starts pardoning on his last day. Bet he sets a record for handing out pardons on his way out the door with the WhiteHouse silverware.
