This tape will backfire on these leftist douchenozzles. This opens up the dialogue this country needs to be having, a dialogue of truth. We are heading over the cliff into the abyss because of people that want to vote themselves some money.

Great, but why does Obama still have 47- 50%? My guess would be they either don’t follow CNBC or a link to the survey was posted on Drudge.

Maybe slightly O/T but has anyone else noticed that about 23% (here, 22%) of the country is pretty much functionally insane? There’s a hardcore liberal 23% who put their fingers in their ears and shout “lalalala I can’t hear you” anytime facts or anything detrimental to Barry comes up. That number pops up recurrently in polls – watch for it.

Btw, I accidentally put too many links in a comment on the French Mag Cartoons thread. It’s a translation from the magazine explaining they’ve been hacked.

Being the cynical ex-Washingtonian I am, I wonder if someone in the Romney campaign let this video out, to allow “plausible deniability” for Team Romney (with RINO and other Establishment Republicans, for instance) and yet be able to bring the topic to public discussion.

The timing could be scheming of Democrat OR Rove-You-Magnificent-Bastardish Republican doing.

I think how Romney responds over time will reveal how much he stands behind this. For someone who has been on virtual “radio silence” since the selection of Ryan, this is GOLD.

FWIW, I’ve been *wasting* time posting over at the putrid “Yahoo News” site, and there are MANY folks responding to it with stuff to the effect, “FINALLY somebody has the balls to say this…halleluja!”

@Xavier — I’ve commented a few times on the 23-27%-ers who make up the subjective polling questions. It’s a stubborn number that doesn’t shift much. Yes, this group is the real number of hard-core Lefties and those who don’t know anything about anyting, but want to appear to know. That’s what’s got OFA in a corner like a wounded, rabid animal. They thought the remaining 73-77% would be distracted by hidden tapes of Romney (telling the truth).

I don’t think the Obama camp had any intention of releasing this tape EVER! Now the MSM and their loyal viewers know what us Consevatives (or the 53%) know and have known for a long time…47% of American workers pay ZERO Federal Income Tax! I think that will shock many Independents and Obama didn’t want that discussed. This is a desperate move by Obama to deflect attention from the miserable failure of the “Arab Spring” and the totally avoidable death of Ambd. Chris Stevens, a Navy Seal and two other Americans. This will backfire badly on Obama as he will be seen as wanting a dependent class because that dependent class is his base. Now the Independents know where a lot of Obama’s $5 Trillion deficit is going.

I’ve made a personal decision to take other people’s support for wealth-redistribution as an affront and a threat.

If someone espouses this ideology, and votes accordingly, they are willing to use the power of the government to take what I earn and give it to those who didn’t earn it. That practice takes bread off of my table and gives it to someone who probably has done nothing, or not very much.

My husband and I are 4 paychecks away from disaster at any given time. I pay a 36% tax rate as it is. Anyone who wants to give away my hard-earned wealth to some other person deemed “more deserving” gets my contempt now, and hell later.

    Czar-

I was reading a story over the weekend on ABC’s website trying to positively float Ambassador Susan Rice’s “It’s the movie, not Obama’s mess” meme regarding the reason that the Mideast is burning, and the comments section, on ABC, no less, had HUNDREDS of responses basically calling bullshit on not only Obama, but on ABC as well. And virtually zero pro-ABC/Obama postings.

Maybe the old Silent Majority/Reagan Democrats are finally waking the hell up.

Let’s hope so-we need them in big numbers.

Romney merely stated what most Americans probably really think – Obama supporters are generally those who claim victimhood and leech off of the largesse of the government. However, most Americans cannot say these things out loud without some sanctimonious jerk claiming “racism.”

The voting booth is anonymous, and is the only poll that counts. Various groups can conduct all the polls they want, but my opinion is that (1) this election is all about Obama and (2) Obama will lose convincingly.

Look at the number of people who listen to Rush vs. the number of people who listen to NPR/Air America/Current TV/Etc.

Look at Fox’s ratings vs. msnbc/cnn/etc.

The top three talk radio shows are conservative. The top 3 shows in the NATION!

Their is no way there are more liberal wackadoos than level-headed conservatives and right leaning middle stinkers.

Tomorrow’s news: Due to a software glitch, yesterday’s survey results incorrectly reflected public opinion regarding Romney’s statements on government dependency. The corrected figures for the survey question ‘Do you agree with Romney’s statement?’ were 7% Yes, 86% No, and 7% Not Sure.

    @ Maudie N Mandeville

Are you combining them? Or are you saying Rush vs. ABC or NBC alone?

Also, are you comparing Fox News to CBS or NBC News or are you comparing all of NBC, news or not?

MSM news programs on the three major networks are losing viewers in droves.

Newspapers are losing subscribers by the boatload.

Liberal talk shows can’t attract listeners even if they offer free stuff.

My point is, the conservative and the conservative-leaning logic is the majority in the whole of America, even if it isn’t in the big cities (Detroit will always be liberal).

I suggest REAL Americans stand up and take back the country….

I’m just saying that more people still get their news, all in all, from liberal sources. By and large all newspaper and network TV are liberal. Fox cancels out all other cable sources so cable is a wash. Thank God for talk radio (which is why the left hates it), but for strictly news I think the 3 networks trump radio.

And it’s not only how they report but what they don’t report.
Here’s a break down of news sources. (The total is above 100% bc some do more than one source.)
66% liberal TV (except for Fox) 31% liberal papers with few exceptions, 41% internet-I’m not sure how you would break that down. Does Kos and Moveon offset Drudge? Only 16% radio.
