Sarah Palin Reviews a True Crime Book

Sarah Palin admits that she’s not much of a true crime buff, but she couldn’t resist reviewing the new book about a true crime author – her ex-neighbor Joe McGinniss.

Author Errol Morris has written a book that profiles McGinniss and lays out a case for innocence for Jeffrey MacDonald, the military doctor that was the subject of McGinnis’s true crime novel Blind Faith.

McDonald was convicted of murdering his wife and two children in what MacDonald claims was a murder carried out by Manson Family copycats.

Morris says that McGinniss, who was hired by MacDonald’s team to write a book about the doctor’s innocence, turned on MacDonald because of some eerie parallels between the author and the murderer’s live, parallels that he believes  contributed to McGinniss’s belief that MacDonald was capable of murder.

It’s interesting, and Palin does a good job of making the entire indictment of McGinniss plausible.
