Boy, 11, Accused of Severely Beating Disabled Mother
An 11-year-old boy is facing accusations he beat his disabled mother so severely she required hospital treatment, but there is another side to the story.
The wide eyed boy sat in court today looking much smaller than 11 years old.
Police said the boy has been caring for his disabled mother, a role that included doing laundry, cooking meals, and other jobs to help his mother.
“He was just a sweet boy,” said neighbor Genevieve Ninke.
Another neighbor said she “just loved that little boy.”
Elk Grove Police told FOX40 the boy and his mom lived by themselves in the home where the abuse allegedly happened.
Officers were tipped off by a third-party, and arrested the boy Monday.
Officers say the 51-year-old mother had been beaten by her son with an extension cord, eight-to-ten feet long. The mother had injuries to her arms, legs and back.

The mother has died, but supposedly not from the injuries of the beating.
This is a very sad and strange story. I’m sure we don’t have 1/10 of the story…

My daughter was about 5 when she looked me square in the eye, gritting her teeth and said; “I’m going to punch you in your sleep!”
I’m not sure what shocked me most, her saying it or she knew that while I was sleeping it was her best chance at taking me out.

This story has been circulating on the news here the past couple of weeks. It was disgusting when I first heard it and I thought the same as some of you. There’s more to the story. With a father missing in the house, maybe the kid felt that this was his life taking care of his mother forever and resenting it. Dunno. But now he’s living with the father and it’s Dad’s turn to take care of business.

Poor kid. He faces amazing hurdles as it is — then gets arrested for alleged abuse — then his mother is dead after caring for her all that time.

She was a Conservative Republican and she was going to make her son take her absentee ballot voting straight Republican ticket to the county registrar’s office. Here’s my take on this. She has mental problems that caused her to divorce the husband. The court gives custody of the boy to the mother…as they usually do. But the father realizes that she was once a nice woman and hates it that the son is stuck in such a situation and actually feels sorry for the ex-wife also and so he still goes by the do the lawn and check on things. No telling what she said to that child to provoke him into beating her like that.

The story made me very sad. More and more everyday, I’m very thankful for the mom and dad that I had. Dad was a good provider and mom was my buddy and best friend. Thank You, Lord. I bless your name for the parents who are no longer with me, but in my heart forever.
