These were the brave freedom fighters who were taking the ambassador who wasn’t sodomized or dead to the hospital. So I’m told.

Trying to piece together a general timeline–this is extremely difficult, as nearly all reports, even semi-official ones, contradict each other significantly:

–Benghazi consulate is attacked around 10 p.m.; Libyan “security guards” ineffective at best, participating in attack at worst; consulate building has virtually no standard security features, so it is entered very quickly

(This next part is only reported by some sources–DID they go to a safe house or not? If so, then the video–if authentic–is from the safe house.)

–ambassador and others transported to so-called “safe house” (location already known to attackers)

–safe house attacked; ambassador either dies during attack, or is injured and captured alive

–ambassador–alive or dead–is taken from building (consulate? safe house?)

(There are reports which are saying that SOME people were taken to the safe house, but the Ambassador was left behind because he could not be found; that he or his body was found and taken out of the burned-out consulate. If so, the the video is from the consulate.)

–ambassador dragged through streets; physical torture of some type takes place after death (?) (perhaps also before, if still alive after safe house attack)

–ambassador’s body taken to hospital (by rescuers or attackers?)–time unknown; doctor there claims to have attempted 90-minute resuscitation effort (?); ambassador declared dead from suffocation (asphyxia from mortar/grenade attack on consulate/safe house?) and internal bleeding reported (?)(from asphyxia or torture, or both?)

–ambassador’s body transported to airport “about dawn” by persons unknown; whereabouts of ambassador therefore unknown for approx. 8-10 hours

When will an autopsy take place, and will the results be made public? Time of death, cause of death, and extent of injuries are important, and should be disclosed.

If the consulate had been properly secure, physically, and American military and/or American private security personnel had been in place, these deaths would probably not have occurred.

Regardless of who carried out this attack, it’s clear whose fault this is.
