The Obama Doctrine defined: (1) The policy of abandoning strategic cultural, political and military allies in favor of insufficiently placating cultural, political and military enemies in an effort to appease both parties and accomplishing neither; (2) After failing to protect US interests or values, engaging in the act of redefining what was originally being discussed in order to declare that the goal was not only met but surpassed and that any questioning of that accomplishment has already been answered and that we’re not talking about it anymore. Next question.
So, if we’re to anticipate how Barack Hussein Obama’s State Department will apply his Smart Diplomacy ™ formula to the explosive row between Japan (a business and military ally) and China (our largest Creditor / threat to our existence) over the oil resources of a barren couple of rocks we can expect this matter to be resolved in an amicable fashion, correct? Like the Falkland Islands dispute. Preferably one where we we appeal to stay neutral by asking both sides to remain calm on appeal to some corrupt “higher” international authority.

Hummm, so we are going to see tensions rise in Japan and China. North Korea and Iran flexing their muscles, Russia ready to pounce when Oblamao “has less restrictions”, and rioting/killing throughout the middle east.
If New Zealand and Easter Island start a war, all bets are off.
